Authentic Bulgarian village, preserved over time. The house-museums are worth visiting. You could definitely feel proud to be Bulgarian. The only shortcoming is that there are no decent places for lunch/dinner which for a longer stay than a night will be a serious issue.

A perfect location to feel the feeling of old Bulgaria.
A perfect location to feel the feeling of old Bulgaria. A birth place of one of the most famous Bulgarian writers Iordan Iovkov, you can literally feel the atmosphere of his short stories from late 19th century at every corner and looking at each house and restaurant. Strong recommended for a long weekend, also a good starting point for some hiking routes in Stara Planina mountain.

Zheravna is a small cosy village,calm and pretty.
Zheravna is a small cosy village,calm and pretty. The old style architecture is unique and the people are cheerful and lovely. I enjoyed the small souvenirs shops where you could buy homemade traditional things from clothes and jewellery to honey and cheese. We bought really tasty and fresh goat cheese which the owner of the souvenir shop has prepared himself. The food here is fresh and amazing! Everything which we ate made us more than happy. We visited the restaurant Zlatna oresha,which grabbed our hearts with their cooking!

The view from our room was beautiful and as a whole Zheravna is a spectacular place. All points of interest are easily reached on foot. The rooms felt authentic, it was very comfortable and spacious.
