We loved our stay at Chill House. We stopped here on our trip along the Mae Hong Son Loop and felt right at home. The cafe on the property was cozy, air-conditioned and had wonderful selections of food and beverages. It was easy to cool the room quickly and the location was close to the city but still surrounded by a lovely and small area that felt rural and peaceful. We really enjoyed our stay.
The area around is beautiful situated in the mountains.
The area around is beautiful situated in the mountains. The roads bend and rise up and down with very little traffic. There are many local restaurants offering cheap local foods. A great place to stop while travelling around the area.

Mae Sarioang is the one crossroad of the R108 and R105 between Mae Hong Song in the North, Mae Sot in the South and Hot/Chiang Mai to the East. Mae Sariang is for many an overnight stop from one of those places to one of those places, what does not gives Mae Sariang the attention it deserves. It is a great hub, for a good number of day trips into the mountain, to and along the Salaweng river and to a great number of viewpoints on relatively good paved roads and some dirt roads. It has conserved the old days charm of a slower Northern Thailand / Lana small town with enough bars, restaurants and coffee shops to fill a week. A good place to stay a bit longer and explore the hill tops, river villages and coffee plantations, before you are heading off to the next point.

A small town which most people use as a stopover on the Mae Hong Son Loop. It is a lovely place with some lively local spots on the river.
Trekking and rafting available.
Recommend Ching Ching bar for drinks and Redwood and Coriander restaurant for great food. Cheap massage in local spots.

Mae Sariang is beautiful.
Mae Sariang is beautiful. Pwo Karen tribes make up about 50% of the town. It lays in a beautiful green valley surrounded by tall mountains and has 2 rivers run through it. Lovely views! Glad we stopped and visited friends. Great coffee shops too. Nice stop over if you are doing the Mae Hong Son loop. We started in Chiang Mai, then to Pai, Mae Hong Son and Mae Sariang and back up to Chiang Mai. We took 5 days and enjoyed all the viewpoints and highlights along the way. We ate dinner at the Coriander Restaurant and the the Salmon dinner was the best I have had. Salmon cooked to perfection!

Small town with a lot of good eats.
Small town with a lot of good eats. We would have loved to stay 2 nights but we were just passing through.it was low key and now ridiculously touristy like Pai. We are at the Coriander resort restaurant. It was delicious and reasonable.
We arrived at the hotel and got our room right away, place seems nice it is on the river and we walked to the pool area to check it out next door (allowed to use pool) but weather was cool and pool cold. We went to look for a place to eat and we found one near hotel but the food were no good. The breakfast at the hotel was ok alot of asian type of food. There is a parking area in front of the hotel but it fills up quickly so once you find a spot you do not move.

Spring bed was a little bouncy buy ok to sleep on better than hard beds I've had all over Asia. Arrived late soaked from driving in thunderstorms. Was able to heat the room up to 30c with the AC unit to dry out. There was complimentary water and a fridge do was able to buy drinks from nearby 7/11 for the morning before continuing on the Mae Hong Son Loop. Bike parking was no problem outside the hotel.
This is a fantastic place to stay, beats a hotel hands down! Very friendly staff, super clean, spacious room, peaceful, the grounds are very well maintained with nice views from both the front and back. A nice light complimentary breakfast is available.and very friendly staff. Will be staying here on out return trip.
Great place in this small town. Great view over the river. Nice room with balcony. They had an interconnecting room for our family. The pool was next door at their sister hotel but it was nice after a warm day. Great walk along the river immediately in front of the hotel. Breakfast was OK with different options.
Room on the second floor, is spacious and clean. It has both fan and air-con. Bed is comfortable. Bathroom is quite big. A number of choices for the set breakfast to choose from. Some lovely cats within the property. A short walk to a convenience store, some restaurants, and a night market.
It is a small family hotel. We had a room with two bedrooms and a small clothes rack, the room was clean and beautiful, with a big balcony. At reception there are tea, coffee, bread, jam, bananas. And we were given coupons for a small snack in the restaurant next door, it was very lovely.
Everything. You can tell a lot of love goes into this guesthouse and making it the best experience for the guests. The staff was wonderful. Beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were large and clean. The best place we stayed on the Mae Hong Song Loop.
Could have easily stayed in the front yard the whole day. You got a bar and food all in one place. The staff were amazing, very helpful and willing to help with anything. Thanks a lot for everything!!
The hotel is more like a guest house. Rooms very quaint and small but nicely decorated. Breakfast was the best on the whole trip. friendly staff and nice location on the river.
Great location close to restaurants in Mae Sariang. Very friendly and hospitable staff. Twice place to unwind for two nights while driving the Mae Hong Son Loop
Nice room, nice view of the river. Friendly staff and plenty to eat for breakfast. Hotel all made of teak which looks nice. They have a good restaurant space.
