This is a stunning area of Bali with the Geopark and many attractions around. Totally different pace to Ubud and other parts of the south. Thoroughly enjoyed the change of scene and pace here, and as always the people are so nice.

Loved this area, so different to the many other areas we visited, perhaps because it is cold at night and hot in the day.
Lush and wilderness feeling with stunning vistas of heights and mountains, lake and village.
Surprisingly upmarket spas and cafes and accomodations.
Multiple hot springs each more elaborate than the next.
Loved the regular village life and agriculture going on everywhere.
I was hesitant to put Kintamani in our 3 week itinerary but it was unique in Bali, spectacularly beautiful and that great mix of tourism convenience but with regular Balinese life going on all around you.

Beautiful place!
Beautiful place! But it is bali.... so expect rubbish, lots of traffic and run down places. But no matter the look, the food was fantastic and so cheap at every place we went.
This isn't a party place, but if you do plenty of activities during the day, hiking, bike riding, white water rafting ect youll be in bed early!
The hot springs in town-
Toya desa- run down charm but loved it! Has terrible reviews online but they seem to have fixed all those problems eg/plastic over the food and allowed refund of cash if you paid by cash (not entry ticket) to load up a token you use (handy cosyour constantly in the water)
Massage wasn't great but facilities good.
The other hot spring- great massage! But really bad facilities and pools.
Mt butar is fabulous. Sunrise hike was incredible... but its extremely cold at the top, so bring warm gear. Beginners hike but it is a mountain so no thongs/flip flops.
Great place to visit for 3-5 days.

It's very beautiful place, but a lot of fly and too cold in the night (take more warm clothers).
Road from Amed was too hard for our old bike.
Regina bali - very tasty restoran with fresh fish.

The best view that you can find in Asia.
The best view that you can find in Asia. The people are nice, there are 3 ways to reach there are a lot of options. The police also actively manage the street to get rid of traffic. A lot of nice restaurants with the best view.

I would recommend to visit Kintamani for the coffee & the beautiful views of nature. Visit Volcano Batur for a hike to see the sunrise (bring hiking shoes, wind jacket, water, small breakfast & headlight, you are not allowed to do the hike by yourself, you pay for a guide).
Very nice little homestay. You're greeted with a drink and some fried Bananas. Very lovely and helpfull hosts. Simple but sufficient and clean rooms. Shared bathroom always clean. You can book a guide and everything through the owners or they'll otherwise organise it for you. I needed a scooter and they drove me to the rental place and picked me up again without asking anything on return. One of if not the most, hospitable place I stayed in Bali so far.
Would definitely return here if I am in the area again.
a very Nice homestay runned by a super welcoming and friendly family! we learned a lot about the Balinese life in the countryside which was very interesting! the rooms are very clean and have a great view!! they also cook very good. you can do from here the mount Batur sunrise hike. Jonny- the owner- even drove us spontaneously 4 hours two Amed, because our driver could not come. we really can recommend staying there. thank you for everything!
Staying at Pondok Bali Cottages was a true highlight of my stay on Bali. Firstly because Wayan, Angga and family are so warm and welcoming and helpful in every way. It felt like family, a feeling of home 🙏🩷 The valley is magical and the cottages so cozy and comfortable. Lovely food. Loved every second of it and will surely return when being back at Kintamani! Highly recommended 🍀 thank you Wayan, Angga and all of Kintamani family 🤗🙏
The setting was stunning! We had mountain views from our room as well as from the restaurant and pool. The room was huge and exceptionally clean and the bed was very comfortable. We were given a free scooter to drive around for the day. I woke up both days for sunrise. It was so beautiful to watch the mountains light up and listen to the birds and bali temple sounds in the background. A highlight of my Bali trip.
i loved everything! the place is cute and clean, beds are comfortable and warm, the shower has good hot water with good pressure and the staff is AMAZING! the manager is seriously the nicest person I met in Bali, gave me good recommendations of a small hike around the hostel to see the sunrise and helped me with the transfer to the airport. the driver Bala was really good and nice too!
A hotel that really makes beautiful memories for me. Hotel rooms with bamboo really add to the uniqueness and aesthetics of the hotel. The cleanliness of the hotel is beyond doubt, the toilets are clean, the sheets have no dirty spots, the rooms are fragrant and clean. Very friendly staff serving with pleasure. The view around the hotel is very beautiful, making my holiday memorable
View was breathtaking. Food was very good. Hot spring just fantastic - until the owner of the accommodation didn't start washing his filthy dogs in it at 1am.
People there think that foreigners are bags of money. Have no respect no understanding to us - just unbelievable.
Give them money and just go away.
Very safe place to be. Great location and a nice pool. Good Internet. Close to Mt Batur. Nice friendly staff. Good nature around. The owner is a good man who always helps you with any enquiries. You can find local warungs around with great cheap Balinese food. Beautiful place to be with lovely people.
I can only recommend this beautiful villa to everyone. The view is inkredible, the rooms are very nice and everything is very clean. The food is simply fantastic. Authentic Balinese dishes, don't miss it! The owner is very nice and helpful.
Trip was for my son and his mate, both had a room each. He said The hosts were very welcoming and helpful throughout our time in Bali
The room was exceptional, comfy bed, amazing views and value for money.
Ketut made us feel home from home.
The view of Batur Mount is very nice. Actually, we booked here because we thought we could see the 3 mounts at the same time, but from the hotel you can only see Batur, except if you go up to the restaurant.
The room is big.
People were super kind and respectful. I was running the Bali Ultra Trail and they allowed me to have a late check out. it’s a very basic accomodation but with good location to Mt Batur, spotless clean, hot shower and quiet.
After travelling almost one month through Bali, I think this was the most comfortable accommodation we had. The staff took good care of every single thing we needed to have a wonderful stay. Simply amazing.
Size of the pods were adequate and the view was nice. Staff put on a bonfire in the evening which helped with the thousands of flies in the area ( not specific to the hotel)
It’s hidden gem… One of the Perfect place to heal in Kintamani. The property so clean. The view outside of property is so stunning. So lucky to have a chance stay here.
