Being a family-owned business, the hotel was run by very friendly, accommodating staff. The room we chose was roomy, pleasantly furnished and bright. It could not have been better. The location was also excellent, close walking distance to several beautiful wats, a national museum, and restaurants. A warm breakfast was served, buffet style - eat as much as you want with a nice selection of seating outdoors.

Nan is an interesting town... There are lots of temples and history from when it was a kingdom. I was visiting during the low season, but during my 10-day visit, I could see something every day. But you must realize that this is not a holiday site where you can enjoy daily fun and entertainment.

My first trip to Nan and in fact Thailand.
My first trip to Nan and in fact Thailand. Absolutely incredible experience. Obvious areas were food, scenery in particular the mountain scenes.
The people of Nan were welcoming and very hospitable indeed...and came across as very genuine.
The culture and temples were amazing...visited many temples in Nan and also in Chiang Rai..
Amazing country and Nan is an area I will return to visit again.

Nan is a charming city, which we recommend to discover by bicycle. There are many beautiful temples and a river, which is nice to visit for the sunset. The general atmosphere is relaxed and the people are very nice. The city is not so touristy and you can find many authentic places to eat delicious local food.

I think the environment, the nature, the mountains are just the best part. Not to forget, the culture and the temples are more than worth visits. There are many coffee shops for you to choose from, both touristy and locals, like Erabica (quite fancy, but nice coffee), Huean Tang Tor (still in town of Nan, but further out, real nice place and coffees are from different part of Nan, really good), Kalasino (iron-plate meat grill with great Thai-French Wagyu beef thing... so good).
It was quite cold when we were there that weekend. We went to the night walking street, it was really nice, with local goods and food. Also authentic place for you to sit and eat.
We found it's better to rent a car to go around. You could explore more parts of Nan, into other districts as well.
There are a lot of culture in the city, but you need to get out to touch the nature. Otherwise, renting bicycle would be fine.

Wat Phumin was a big thing and the "whisperer painting" was all over the city. Highly recommend a day trip out to Bo Kleau salt wells and Pua. Enjoy the very local and non-touristy night market and live music at OTOP area.
Where do I start... this hostel is perfect (and I've had a few). It's not your typical backpacker hostel with lots of people to meet. That's probably due to not many people exploring the beautiful province of Nan. The hostel itself is very clean and spacious, the host is helpful, there's free sandwiches and coffee in the morning. The bunkbeds are nice, as they have not only a curtain but also a fence that can be locked. And there's more: cozy living room, TV corner, rooftop terrace,... I stayed longer than planned here.
This is a special place, where you can really feel at home in Nan. The wonderful owner took care of us starting even before we arrived. There is always fresh fruit and local coffee available, and the rooms are very clean and comfortable and include amenities like a fridge, top sheet (which is rare), and table and chairs. The home is beautifully decorated with local art. The location is great, close to Wat Phumin and the night market.
We even stayed an extra bonus night :)
What a great find! This is a lovely small hotel with individual bungalows set amongst beautiful gardens. The bungalows are very well appointed and very tastefully decorated.
The staff are extremely welcoming. Ten helped us to organise our road trip to Bo Klua to travel along the floating road.
The food at the restaurant was very good and the breakfast was excellent thanks to the chef A who was a delight!
The lounge, bedroom and outside area were super sized. The setting of this resort is gorgeous with a lovely view of the river Nan. The chalets are down a quite steep hillside and the super staff took our luggage down there and made us very comfortably installed. At breakfast, we were joined by the ‘boss’ and his Thai wife. Such very lovely people.we will definitely return to this great resort.
The little kid that hands out room keys is exceptionally professional for a little kid. The father (I am assuming) gave us a ride into town for free. What more could you want for a very cheap hotel. It was the only one available as all others were sold out. If you explore, there is a temple nearby, and you can walk around the lake.
Cozy hotel with Japanese minimal style. Room rate include breakfast( Japanese fusion style alternate by chef and seasonal ingredient). Room was comfort and clean. Staff are excellent. They have cafe on ground floor and they are specialist on matcha greentea.
The hotel room was spacious, bed OK and a good shower. The room was clean and had good air con.
The staff were very pleasant and helpful.
The hotel was well situated for the walking street and food. Good value for the money.
This is a perfect place to sneak out of city. It is located up on the hill beside the Nan river bank where you can absorb the sunsets. There are only six separated houses in which are spacious, well-maintaIned, and clean.
Great location. Walking distance to Wat Pumin and the Nan National Museum. You can find the cafe shops which offer high quality coffee. One staff speaks English, and all of them are attentive. The room is clean.
Peaceful farming view and natural surrounding. Staffs are friendly and welcoming. Mattress is good compared to other hotels. Overall suits for those who really like peaceful living in Thai style room!
Room was a good size. Location was good for us as we had a car, although it was next to a main road it was very quiet. Breakfast was good. Plenty of parking as the hotel was very quiet.
very clean, hot showers, privacy curtains for the bunk beds, free coffee and tea and bananas and free bikes to use! the staff are very kind. lovely place
