A good place for 2-3 day breaks. The traditional part of the town is a good place to walk round. The streets are not crowded. There is a large ‘CoopMart’ supermarket for supplies. There are 1 or 2 western style cofffee shops to relax in such as the “Everyday” coffee shop which sits just back from the water. At night there are a number of large modern and smart Asian restaurants. A lot of money is being devoted towards developing not just this coastal part of Vietnam but also the adjoining coastal region of Cambodia.

Getting around Ha Tien is easy.
Getting around Ha Tien is easy. What you need is to rent a bike and hang around Ha Tien. Ha Tien is pretty small, so maybe just a day is enough. My favorite spot is probably Mac's house- an old house with a big garden like a forest surrounding. It's cool, and also you can hear some stories about this place.
You can visit Night market, however, it is somehow the same as other coastal cities in VN.
The only thing I hate about this place is the price. Except for the homestay I booked in advance on booking, the price of food or service here seems pretty high.
Lucky for me, for dinner, we ask the locals and get the right place to eat - Anh Du/ Vu offers many seafood dishes at reasonable prices.
You can go to the supermarket - Coopmart in case you find the price is too high.

Nice town with lots of places to eat, vibrant markets and good accommodation options. Not very busy or noisy (for Vietnam) with quiet back streets to stroll around. There's even a great traveller's bar and restaurant serving great western food called Oasis, thoroughly recommended.

We stayed here overnight on the way to Phu Quoc but wish we could have stayed longer - beautiful town in its own right with an excellent waterfront seafood market - we had one of the best meals on our 3-week trip here. The night market is also great - we tried some really weird and wonderful fruits here

Hà Tiên is a nice little town.
Hà Tiên is a nice little town. Almost no tourists, lots of interesting places for a motorbike day trip. Everyone suggests this but the oasis bar is so helpful for finding your feet and getting recommendations
Easy to find. With a big beautiful garden, and a nice cool lobby. Owners are very friendly.
Spacious and clean room. With free drinking water machine, good aircon, even a fan in the bathroom. A big wardrobe.
A 10-minute walk from the ferry and another 10-minute walk to the bus station. Perfect for a one night transfer stay.
Ha Tien looks like a nice little place, wish we had more time to explore.
This is a pleasant, clean place for an overnight or 2 in Ha Tien. Good location convenient for a walk around town or a ride in the lighted cyclos in the evening. Close to market and lots of restaurants, also close to waterfront. The room was rather basic, but just fine.
The location of the hotel was very nice ! With it being right in the center of town, you could easily walk outside and find food right away ! My personal favorite is Nước mía and bánh cảm 😊 the bathroom had warm water and the room had a decent climate !
Centrally located budget hotel with very friendly and welcoming owners / staff. It’s budget accommodation so don’t expect luxury but rooms are very clean and the hotel is well located for the boat to/from Pho Quoc
We only stayed one night before our onward journey to Cambodia. The hotel is in the main street with lots of eateries nearby. Our room was big with a good bathroom. Breakfast was very good with lots of choices.
We stayed 1 night in peaceful Ha Tien. The hotel location is perfect. The staff extremely helpful and we could communicate in English without using any app for translation. The hotel was OK for a night.
Room was very nice and clean. Hotel location is very convenient. Staffs are nice and helpful ( Được who is hotel manager is very nice). I will be back when I am in Hà tien.
Perfect hotel, very comfortable beds, good shower too with adjustable heating which was perfect for us. A little bit out of the town, but a quick half hour walk :)
The owner was very helpful with organising onward travel to Cambodia. The hotel is in a quiet neighbourhood with nice cafes nearby. The decor is very nice.
