Very quiet area, only 3 or 4 places to eat or get a drink, the beach is beautiful but too shallow to swim in, nice to sit in though.
Most of the hotels / restaurants sell the same food but not grate food apart from the Italian restaurant called loco I think, the food was outstanding and not overly expensive and the staff where brilliant.

The area is picturesque and at least when we were there uncrowded, quiet and peaceful. There are plenty of choices for places to eat and stay. Several restaurants are perched on the hillsides and have spectacular views of the beach and gulf. There is a 7-11, a dive operation, and a motorbike repair shop. A number of businesses were closed due Covid-depressed tourism.

The Haven resort has the most stunning terrace and watching the sunset at night was magical. the food and staff were amazing and our host Vincent could not do enough for us. the resort is very hilly, so a scooter if confident enough is ideal, otherwise a taxi at 200 baht and they are plentiful. the choice of beaches are countless, loads of restaurants. avoid the swanky ones as they are over priced and not that good in our opinion. the small rustic ones are half there price and food is the best by far. The Haven resort is an absolute must for visitors, whether staying there or just dining there. the sunset views were the best I have ver had!

Beautiful white sandy beach.
Beautiful white sandy beach. The beach the very clean and not too busy. Lots of bars and restaurants to try out. There’s also lots to do on the beach if you don’t want to just sunbathe, there’s yoga, paddleboard, kayaking, etc. Also the sunsets are amazing from this beach!

Haad Yao has a good beach but as most of the beaches in KOh Phangan, in August you cannot swim because of the low tide. It’s a good base to take a scooter and travel around, but it’s one of the many. In general fr my point of view Koh Phangan it’s too touristic and far away from the authentic Thailand you can find elsewhere
From my perspective, See Through Resort Haad Yao is situated in a tranquil setting in the north, providing a peaceful retreat away from the city hustle. I particularly enjoyed spending time at the delightful café/bar by the sea, where I could relax on bean bags while taking in the breathtaking views. The beach area was serene, dotted with charming seaside restaurants. It was convenient to have laundry and scooter rental services available on-site, along with a lovely pool.
This hotel was so lovely! Was right on the beach and had the most amazing view. The bungalow was clean and tidy and was great having a mosquito net. The staff was so lovely and friendly. Great restaurant overlooking the sea and good prices especially with a discount for being a hotel guest. We also really enjoyed the hiring of kayaks which was also really well priced.
The resort was very well maintained comfortable. The atmosphere at the resort is great with an awesome sunset view and a really nice garden among the bungalows. It's right next to a very peaceful, semi private beach ( only shared with a couple other small resorts). All of the staff were very friendly and super helpful.
Stayed for 5 nights.Very basic accommodation, enough to sleep over. They have their own cafe with food and coffee which was great! Location is good, not even 10min to the Haad Yao beach.restaurants and 7/11 5min away.Owner is super nice, giving some useful tips.
If you going to stay in Haad Yao - location is good. I personally prefer sea view from little distance, not straight on the beach. So for me it's +. For not experienced in SEA might seem a bit authentic. Generally I consider as good value for money.
The bunk beds were super soft and clean by backpacker standards, perfect for sinking into after a day out into the water, but the hotel's also the right spot if you're more the type to leisurely look at the beach from the comfort of your balcony.
The hotel is operated only by people from Myanmar and they are quite happy if you are interesed in their country. All people are awesome, always smiling and very friendly espacially to babies. Nice pool and breakfast. Nice beach close by.
Really nice view over the beach in the Deluxe Bungalow with a sea view that we chose to stay in. It could be good to know that those Bungalows face north so you can´t really experience the sunset from the Balcony (which we hoped for)
Very nice looking hotel surrounded by beautifull gardens.
Spacecious swimming pool with view on the beach, sea and the bar. The beach had umbrellas and beds available. During happy hour you could easily enjoy the sunset.
The location is amazing right on the beautiful Haad Yao Beach. The bungalow I stayed in was really modern, clean, spacious and lovely. The bed was super comfortable. I really enjoyed my stay here.
Very clean room. Great beach!
Good location, many good cafes right next to the hotel. Nice breakfast and coffee. Hotel staff very nice helpful with scooters, diving, etc.
Great value for money
We had the beach front bungalow, amazing to be right on the beach! Fell asleep to the sound of the waves, just wonderful. The room was simple, clean, and comfortable
Great atmosphere. They have everything you need, pool, restaurant, gym, bar, etc... The beach near by is very quiet and beautiful, has good restaurants and cafés
