This is a sweet town.
This is a sweet town. We came here specifically to experience Nyepi day and the festivals leading upto Nyepi. Ogoh-Ogoh parade was awesome.
This is a sweet town out of the business of other places in Bali.

Its a small village, one street lined with Warungs, a main supermarket Gemini, two smaller Alfa Marts and tourist shops selling clothing, wooden goods and local Bali souvenirs. Crossing the road is a challenge as the road is a main route from West to East and vice versa. The lily ponds towards the East of the village are very pretty, with the rice fields at the western end of the village, other than dicing with the traffic by day its a quiet village with friendly locals. Most of the Warungs further away from accommodation will offer free pick up and drop off. We ate at Lu Putu, Le Zat, Kangaroo bar all with pick up and went to Bali Palms with pick up when the NO Nekos Band were playing. A trip to Amed and Virgin beach for snorkeling, Water and Floating Palace then relaxing massage with the calming sound of the sea at the resort! Oh and a trip to Monkey Bar with its amazing infinity pool, Buddha statue situated up in the hills!

Staying @ Ganesh Lodge was absolutely fantastic.
Staying @ Ganesh Lodge was absolutely fantastic. The staff went above and beyond the call of duty. My husband left his shoes behind and they went out of their way to return them. Can't recommend them highly enough absolutely fantastic.

Candidasa is great if you want to just chill by the pool.
Candidasa is great if you want to just chill by the pool. Not much shopping and make sure you book central or you will be secluded. We enjoyed our time but 4 days was enough for us. Some great things to see but other activities are too far to drive unless you love a 2 hr drive both ways. Not many resto options and most places were average.
The Property has a beautiful laid back feel to it. East Bali is much more laid back than West Bali- it is almost like a different country. The bar is especially beautiful with south facing lawn and terrace seating. Putu the bartender mixes good classic and innovative local cocktails. We ate breakfast every morning at the hotel with a good quantity of food and again special dishes like Balinese Bubur and a very good Herb egg white omelette. Finally a special mention of the staff who were efficient, helpful and pleasant to deal with.
Amazing place in the midst of nature, the most beautiful and comfy accommodation we have been in Bali and the most beautiful welcoming as well. We stayed in the deluxe room and is so pretty to be true. I would recommend to stay at least 2 nights because the area is truly so beautiful just to discover around and no touristy. Our favourite from Bali. Staff from hotel treated us so good that we didn’t want to leave (L) Thank you!!!
The staff were really friendly and helpful, especially Adi who helped us get tickets to Gili T late at night so we could make our transfer.
They allowed us to store our baggage while off the main Bali island for a couple of days.
The hotel transport waited with us until we had our tickets.
The food was lovely.
For the money, we couldn't have asked for a better room and overlooking the sea too.
Have stayed here many times now and still find it is one of the nices places in Bali. Sadly the beach is gone, it went around 1985/86 I still have photos from that time. But an excellent location for drives to the Pantai Putih and Amlapura. And a great location to eat at Puspa Restaurant a family restaurant where I have see the girls grow up. If you don't eat at the Rama Shinta that is ;-)
The location was fantastic. Our private pool Villa was very large and comfortable and had just about everything you need for a pleasant stay - with the exception of wine glasses. The bed was wonderfully comfortable and the semi-outdoor bathroom was huge. The hot water was pretty good by Bali standards. The pool was excellent and the bean-bag style pool loungers were so comfortable.
Staff are amazing! We were so well looked after. We stayed in 4 other resorts in Bali before our 2 nights in Candidasa & Relax Beach Resort was definitely the best service. Cheap accommodation but a great spot overlooking the ocean and the pool was very close to our room. It was the perfect place to relax! Loved it. A special mention to Niloh who looked after us so well.
Sagara is a beautiful boutique hotel with a unique design.
The rooms are tastefully decorated from the floor tiles to the ceiling, they are spacious and well maintained.
The infinity pool with the sea view is spectacular and the breakfast is delicious and varied.
The staff go out of their way to satisfy the guests.
PRISTINE. Relaxing. Lovely indoor out door flow. Lovely to chat to other guests in the friendly areas. Pool fabulous. Breakfast fabulous. Lunches and dinners fabulous. STAFF INCREDIBLY FABULOUS. We went to 6 resorts in Bali and I loved it the most because it’s pristine and intimate.
Staff was friendly, room was large and comfortable (bathroom in particular with good shower and bath) and breakfast was really good with a lot of options and good portions. Also, it's a good location from which to explore the eastern part of Bali.
Lovely artwork, gardens, decor and wood furniture throughout. The staff were so friendly and attentive.
The Bali curry at the restaurant was nice and spicy and a generous serve. Breakfast was slightly on the smaller side, but was okay.
The hotel has a great location. The best possible.
The outside area is very pleasant with garden, pool and access to the sand when the tide is low. It has a very familiar and relaxing atmosphere. Very recommended for families.
The pool is good, the breakfast is also typical hotel, but the waiter was very friendly and let us in for a very late breakfast. Even it was a closing time already, but he let us in and have our breakfast. Thanks
Magnificent hotel, even if you’re not going to dive. If you see it from the outside you can’t imagine how beautiful the bungalows are, the bathroom was something else and the staff was so kind.
The family run property was traditionally balianese right on the beach from where you could watch to local traditional fisherman at work. Room was clean with an amazing view.
