The location has nice views, but a bit far from the beaches but really not bad. The pool was nice! The staff were friendly, but as expected at a party hosted by they were focused on drinking and partying with each other (but did make an effort to get to know guests)

Gorgeous location, absolutely stunning natural cliffs, rocky island outcroppings, warm aquamarine water. An old style beach town that is rare to find these days. Great diversity of restaurants, (the Indian food place was one of the best anywhere) cafes (mango sticky rice!), and local shops along 'walking street', fabulous to just lay on the beach, but hiking, rock climbing, scuba diving schools/rental equipment/excursions, are available for the more adventurous.
A little difficult to get to (long tail or speedboat only) - which keeps it remote, peaceful and relaxed - no ridiculous night life, family friendly, local, easy going, picturesque peninsula on the Andaman Sea.
We booked a group boat tour around PhiPhi islands - boat was delayed, then broke down in the middle of the Sea, luckily a passing boat provided a 'spare' propellor!!! PhiPhi island visit was just a lunch stop, and basically a huge cafeteria line with spaghetti and fried chicken, ugh. Snorkeling, boat diving, cave hiking, discovering empty beach coves along the way though, were all incredible. Visiting "The Beach" lagoon was picturesque, but incredibly overcrowded - no wonder they don't allow swimming in the lagoon. Toilet facilities on PhiPhi and The Beach were best left unvisited, unless absolutely necessary. The tour was 8/10, but the adventure of it all was 11/10.
Railay is well worth a 3-4 day stay, some of our neighbors were staying 2weeks and longer over the new year's holiday. It's an absolutely beautiful, relatively undeveloped resort area, with great food, spectacular beach life, stunning views, and friendly and welcoming local people

This is not for anyone travelling with a disability.
This is not for anyone travelling with a disability. Depending on the tide , will depend on where you are dropped off. The long tail drivers did not help at all getting off the boat or with luggage.Had we been at the other Quay life would have been easy. There was no one there to greet us and our hotel was on the other side of the island a long way to drag luggage..
This is a young person's resort the smell of weed is all over the island. The THAI people don't have the same attitude as elsewhere as they have a monopoly.

The longer you stay, the more you discover.
The longer you stay, the more you discover. Railay has a few hidden gems that are worth exploring. We discovered a few favourite spots for dinner, both in the walking street as well as in Railay East. The sunset on Railey West or the Phra Nang beach are breathtaking. We recommend hiking up to the viewpoint, and if you are brave climb down to the lagoon. We also enjoyed renting a kayak during the day, and do a night tour to see the bio-luminescent plankton. Worth noting: If you book a tour on Railay East, it is often quite a bit cheaper, and priced for backpackers who stay on this side of Railay. The tours themselves are typically of the same quality. The most buzz happens in the walking street between East and West Railay and on the West beach.

The property was gorgeous and quiet.
The property was gorgeous and quiet. The room was beautiful and the bathroom was exceptional. The pool was great too. The only downside was the beach itself - rough sand, not as beautiful as the other side of the island. So the hotel itseld was absolutely wonderful but the beach was not.

One of the most beautiful places I have ever visited!
One of the most beautiful places I have ever visited!
We stayed for four nights and four days. I think without excursions, any longer would be too long but it truly is a getaway.
One day we did the lagoon viewpoint hike and for avid nature fans and hikers, I would recommend this! It's a steep incline/scramble to get there, but the route provides you with ropes to pull yourself up. The viewpoint is stunning and when we hiked up this, wild monkeys climbed around us which was just an amazing experience.
We did an island tour excursion where we visited the local island beaches during the evening and watched the sunset from one of the islands! This tour was one of the better ones we did whilst in Thailand. We explored each island on a longtail boat, which I would recommend, and we went snorkelling to see the beautiful aquatic life that surrounded the islands. We even snorkelled at night to see the luminescent plankton!
There's an amazing bar/restaurant on the island called the treetop bar. The bar has the coolest atmosphere. Shoes off, beanbags, and live music! Very chilled atmosphere with a local singer who was great.
I would visit here again in a heartbeat. A travellers paradise - would recommend.
Very cute spot by Railay beach with pretty views and good cheap food. The common areas are ideal for a morning coffee and the vibe was great with both backpackers and families. We appreciated that they made very clear it was not a party hostel kind of place, unlike some places nearby. The room with AC was cozy, clean and comfortable. Many comments I had read complaint about the steps to go up to it but this wasn't a big deal, especially given the cool system they have to bring up the luggage.
The private pool in room 216 was bigger than expected, and really worth the extra spending! Bed was big and not rock hard as others in Thailand tend to be. Extremely comfortable! The hotel itself is quite small with beautiful common areas.
There is a small grocery shop on the corner, aswell as a few shops and bars within a 100 metres, and Walking Street is a 2-3 minutes' walk away. Railay West beach for amazing sunsets 6-7 minutes walk and Phra Nang beach 10-12.
Amazing hotel in a very central place near restaurants and most importantly the beach. In addition to the beach they have 2 nice pools when you can relax, with some of the room right next to it. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable. Many animals nearby (Big lizards, squirrels ls, frogs etc, didn't see monkeys).
The views from the hotel are amazing. As you enter, monkeys welcome you 😀 We spent just one night to enjoy Railay Beach. The beds are comfy, there is a fridge and AC, no hairdryer - you may need to ask it. Very clean room. The staff was ok, we didn’t really have much conversation. Overall, nice place for a few days.
The resort exist from west to east. We stayed in the deluxe cottage and it is situated in the sunrise side. The breakfast is ok. Basic stuff. The pool is good in front of the sea and you 100 meters from the center town. The bed was very comfortable. The water pressure is ok. Some of the staff are very nice.
Best location in Railay. Close to a local street with loads of bars and restaurants. Good to have this option as we stayed for 5 days and like to try new places. The hotel included a gala dinner on Xmas Eve which was fantastic. Great set up and brilliant food. Staff were very friendly.
Great location.. Near to everything. Railay West amd Railay East are 10 minutes walk between the two beaches.
Bkats are very close by if you need a ride.
The rooms at Rapala are lovely. Modern bathrooms..
The views are magnificent from all the viewing decks.
Location was great, ten minutes walk to the West Railay Beach, very good restaurants nearby (Tree House, The Heart for example). We stayed for just one night to enjoy Railay, so for the money it was kind of OK, but if your standards are high, look elsewhere.
views from too were good, but staff wasn’t so well wishers. The hotel location on google maps is shown different, but when you put Railey hilltop resort, it shows you the location. so you have to walk around 100 or more stairs to reach the hotel.
Idyllic location walk down to the bars beautiful and photogenic. Boat to hotel there and back great 10 minutes of views. Secure parking near pier provided by hotel. A must visit location in krabi everything you want and expect from Thailand
Really nice hotel rooms and great staff! We liked the restaurant at the hotel and they have live music every night which is really great. Location is walking distance from west Railay beach where we spent most of our time.
We had to reschedule a couple of times due to my diving course taking long, and the hotel staff were nice enough to do that for me
Location is good
View from balcony was nice
Room was spacious
Breakfast buffet was good.
The location of this hotel is really amazing. it’s in the middle of Railay. The best pool/beach is located on the West side of the island so make sure they don’t give you a room on East (West side is where you want to be)
Part of hotel that is pictured is lovely and just like photos, staff are polite and friendly. Nice welcome drink when you check in. Free shuttle service down to east railay beach is also very handy.
The whole resort of Railay Beach is just paradise.
Hotel is fabulous and couldn't believe how good the room was!
Breakfast was great.
Staff amazing.
Swim up pool bar!
Biggest bed I have ever seen.
The hotel was very quiet when we visited, but the rooms were very comfortable and the hotel is situated right on Railay beach, which fortunately for us was very quiet at this time.
