I enjoyed taking up the offer of an upgrade from the MD and the views from the Floating Villa were breathtaking.
The Staff was great, polite, kind and friendly, MD was very helpful and friendly. I loved the views and the windows all around were great to see the changing views at all times.

Went to see waterfalls - well worth the effort.
Went to see waterfalls - well worth the effort.
Recommend some level of walking fitness before going - more than 1 500 uphill steps during the day resulted in delayed onset muscle soreness for a couple of days.
Take a GoPro for the waterfalls.
Water temple also worth visiting.

Excellent weather, albeit a bit chilly even in July. Greenery all around. Winding roads (not recommended to roam these roads by car if you get car sick easily). Plenty of waterfalls, though all of them require a bit of a trek. Very few tourists compared to southern part of the island.

For nature lovers that love to explore - tonnes of waterfalls in the area including the breathtaking Sekumpul Waterfall and the Lemukih Natural Water Slide were completely epic! The roads are decent to ride a scooter around and you get to see way more! On our next trip to Bali, we have already noted that Munduk is 1 of the places we would return to.

A wonderful place for nature lovers.
A wonderful place for nature lovers. A totally different side to bali, more authentic in a way. Waterfalls, lakes, mountains amd temples. A quaint little village. Absolutely worth seeing. Only issue is it's hard to get around, as you areore reliant on a local driver.

Truely a hidden gem in Bali.
Truely a hidden gem in Bali. There are many beautiful waterfalls to visit, they can be done with a guide or without (do your research though!). Having a scooter would be handy but not mandatory, I was able to walk from my homestay. It's cooler, less humid and very quiet so it's a nice change from the other parts of Bali. The locals are also some of the friendliest people you will meet!
Beautiful view of the mountains from the room and balcony, as well as from the restaurant. The rooms were very clean and light, and the bathroom very natural and tastefully decorated with plants. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was tasty. There is a little bit of noise from the road but it still felt very peaceful. The location is at the centre of Munduk village and opposite a supermarket. You can easily hike to the waterfalls from there.
Gumi Ayu is an absolute “Gem” of a hotel. We loved the tranquil environment. The suites are private with a unique style, that makes you feel like you are living in the middle of the jungle alone. The spa setting and massage were excellent. The food was fresh and tasty. The staff were exceptional Bayu, Eva, Nita and Hendry went above and beyond to accommodate us. Bayu was very knowledgeable about the surrounding area and helped with any questions we had.
Me and my partner had a very pleasant stay at Munduk Clove, we enjoyed the beautiful view, the quiet area and the staff was really friendly and helpful. They arranged a scooter as soon as we arrived and on check-out transportation to another location and we were happy about the transparency of the taxi prices (they had a paper list with the prices for all the locations Canggu, Ubud etc.), the breakfast was tasty as well.
An exceptional stay. This hotel is outstanding in every aspect. If you choose any category for rating, it can't be less than a 10.
As for the food in the hotel's restaurant, it's a whole new world. I believe they have brought in the best chef in the country, or perhaps the chef of the president himself 😄, because I have never tasted anything more delicious and exquisite than the food served in this restaurant.
The hotel has an infinity pool overlooking the jungle which is absolutely breathtaking. The sunrises and sunsets there are amazing. The hotel is perfectly situated for the Munduk Waterfall Trek, which I highly recommend. The food on the menu is very traditional, which I loved. I had some of the best Nasi Campur. The rooms are very spacious with a lovely view.
An exceptional homestay in Munduk. Super cozy, with an amazing view over a big rice paddy. This place is so peaceful and beautiful. Doni is a great guy and was super kind to help me plan out my travels for the next day exploring Munduk. This really is an amazing place. I highly highly recommend it!!!
The house is very nice and the view is right on the jungle. Breakfast is good and generous. The location is really good to visit munduk waterfall track. The host is really nice and waited for us to come back from dinner to ensure everything was ok! Overall a short but nice experience!
We liked everything about Puri Lumbung. We had the best stay there. Food at the restaurant is excellent. We had a very fun trekking around the hills in Munduk (organised by the hotel) and it was amazing. We recommend to try their Balinese full body massage
The staff were so friendly and welcoming. They provided free transfers to the munduk waterfall trek. The view from the infinity pool was priceless. Incredible value for money. Loved the food. Room was beautiful and clean. Everything was just perfection!
This place is just amazing, the best 5star hotel we have ever stayed. The crew is kind, always smiling and really prepared for everything the guests may need.
I wish we could have stayed more nights.
Do not miss Balinese massage iand afternoon tea!
Spectacular views and clever design (but be careful coming down from the upstairs bedroom as the stairs are very steep). We enjoyed the location, away from the hubbub but an easy ride into Munduk. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
I liked the area a lot. It is not so touristic, you are very close to some nice rice terraces and waterfalls. Also there are excellent food options in this area (look on google maps).
The view from rooftop of the hotel is amazing.
Great hotel for a relaxing stay. Well-designed and well-kept rooms, very welcoming staff, very good breakfast, excellent pool. But the main thing: it's on top of a mountain with stunning views and a has very relaxing atmosphere
The view is amazing, the restaurant is great, the infinity pool is lovely. The hotel exceeded our expectations as it was not just a homestay, but a collection of tree houses. The view from our window was superb.
A great escape with an amazing view of Munduk. The staff was exceptionally helpful, and despite some Southeast Asian hospitality mistakes, they took the necessary ownership to make it work for us.
The view from the room was stunning. I recommend it especially for this. Many warung close by serving amazing food. Better rent a scooter to go around beautiful Munduk.
