Right on the beach. Super quiet. Had the entire Long Beach to myself. stayed in beach hut and while simple was very enjoyable. the are tarps to drop down if you want to enclose but I just left it open. Owner brought me a nice mattress, pillows and blanket to sleep with. Meals generous and made with love. Attentive owner. Boat trip up the nearby river was nice. constant sweeping efforts keeps grounds looking really nice. Ferries in either direction to/from Banggi twice/day. Contact owner at phone listed and he’ll meet you at the ferry for transport.

Nestled in the northern reaches of Borneo, Kudat is an enchanting district that unveils a world of natural beauty and cultural richness. Our time here was nothing short of mesmerizing.
Nature enthusiasts will be enthralled by the diverse landscapes that Kudat offers. From the stunning beaches like Tip of Borneo, where the South China Sea meets the Sulu Sea in a breathtaking convergence, to the lush greenery of the countryside, Kudat paints a picture of serenity and raw beauty.
The local culture and traditions are woven intricately into the fabric of everyday life. Exploring the Rungus Longhouses was a highlight, providing a glimpse into the indigenous way of life, adorned with vibrant traditions and warm hospitality. The Tamu (local market) was a kaleidoscope of colors, scents, and flavors, offering an authentic immersion into the local lifestyle.
Kudat's culinary scene deserves accolades. Fresh seafood straight from the sea to the table was a delightful experience, coupled with flavorsome local dishes that tantalized our taste buds and left us craving for more.
While the pace of life in Kudat is slower, it's this unhurried rhythm that allows for genuine connections with both the surroundings and the welcoming locals.
For travelers seeking a serene escape filled with cultural richness, Kudat is a hidden gem waiting to be explored. Immerse yourself in its natural wonders and vibrant heritage, and you'll leave with memories to cherish for a lifetime.

Location and accommodation is not probably not to everyone liking.
If you like unpolished and very basic right at the sea than this can be your place to chill out. Tides over here are somewhere between 1,5-2 meters.

Apart from the tip of borneo, nothing much to do.
Apart from the tip of borneo, nothing much to do. Beach will not be so beautiful during Dec as the weather is bad. All the beautiful beach and blue water that you see in pictures do not apply if there is a tropical storm at the area. The Kudat down is boring and not as I have imagined. Tip, only go during good weather when the sea is calmer.

The friendly people, the sandy beaches and the coconut trees...
The friendly people, the sandy beaches and the coconut trees everywhere give Kudat district a special, relaxed, holiday feel, distinct from the rest of the west coast of Sabah. The Tip of Borneo is the focal point for beach goers, with its white sands and clear water, but any drive provides interesting insights into the local ways of life.

Kudat City is not worth visiting, the only interesting place...
Kudat City is not worth visiting, the only interesting place there is the food market. Well, if you do not want to see the marine life on the grill, do not go there at all.
The beaches (apart from our hotel beach) were very polluted by plastic and household waste.
The best restaurant in the area is in the Nine Huts Resort. Many vegetarian and vegan options too. Very helpful and smiling service. The food was probably the best we have experienced in Malaysia during our 2 weeks tour (Penang and Borneo).
If you have car, go to the "secret beach", google it on the maps. There is a nice bar called Robys - definitely worth visit for the sunset. The beach is clean because the owner of the bar cleans it. No public showers there however. The bar has showers, however had no water during our visit.
Abang was very helpful. They went out of their way to help us when our bike got punctured and it was raining.
We moved from West Borneo to the East and this has to be the best stay in Borneo. A bit far from the city but that's what makes this place special.
You can go for a swim or snorkel just 50m away from the guest house.
If you are a guest travelling to Kudat, please maintain the cleanliness and the safety of aquatic life. The locals are working hard to preserve the same.
i love that it’s situated deep in the heart of Kudat. the huts were comfortable and spacious. we rented huts facing the sea, can feel the sea breeze and hear the sound of waves. for people who loves nature, this is a place to go. no internet and phone connection is a plus, I really disconnect with outside world. as a person who passionate about property and real estate I see a lot of potential here.
kudat is a peaceful town, good place to run away from busy city, The resort is abit old but no bother for me and my girl,we both enjoyed.
Breakfast , fried chicken and curry chicken super delicious!!!
staff are helpfull and friendly
alot parkibg space
Its fairly new hotel. Excellently clean with adequate necessities befitting the category.
Parking is ample. Located within a self contained small developmental area, it has all the basic amenities. Not too far from town. Friendly staffs
I ❤ the kindness and welcome smile of all the staff from the receiption counter until the cafe...really enjoy the view, room, food and all over the space of this hotel..thank you for the great hospitality..
Looked great online with reviews. Was so excited to stay, however not only is it on a different island to Kudat (that is not stipulated any where) so a 1.5hr ferry’s ride then a 2hr car journey
The location is good. It is the second time we have stayed here. I think the only descent place in Kudat.
Nice view of the sea, and it is walking distance.
