Location (to GCNP) was my only Plus. Breakfast included was a good breakfast. Nice buffet, but only scrambled eggs offered as style choice, along with bacon, sausage, fruit and pancakes. Some breads / toast and cereals were available too.
Featuring an indoor swimming pool, this Grand Canyon, Arizona hotel is 15 minutes’ drive from Grand Canyon National Park. Free Wi-Fi is provided in all rooms.

Tusayan offers a reasonable alternative to the usurious prices Xanterra is asking to stay on the South Rim of the canyon. The town itself seems to have been built last week and there's nothing to do there after 8:30 pm. Having said that, the town does offer the most vegetarian friendly steakhouse imaginable (yes, looking at you Yippie-Ti-Yay) and a few other restaurants that are not national chains as well as a post office that . . . functions, tho the postmistress is not a very polite representative of the federal government.

The staff does not speak my language and there are some offers that they offered me but they did not tell me that Mondays did not apply. They did not know how to tell me where the entrance or the attractions for the Grand Canyon were, I would have liked information for any day of the week to be available . The place is pleasant, it is cold, the landscapes are very beautiful.

If you have problems with slow drains, apparent black mold and/or unreliable heating unit get after management to change rooms immediately! Housekeeping were pleasant and worked hard. Front desk staff can be indifferent.

Tusayan is a cute, one-main-street town just south of the south entrance to the south rim of the Grand Canyon. People are very friendly here and Tusayan offers hotels/motels, restaurants, nice souvenir shopping, a homemade fudge/ice cream shop (that stays open later for those with a sweet tooth!), gas station, and bus stops with free shuttles that take you into the Grand Canyon area. As well, several Grand Canyon tour companies pick up in Tusayan. We really enjoyed our stay there! Just beware, the elk can get really close to/onto the roadway in the evenings. We were greeted by a small group of them very near to the first roundabout coming into Tusayan proper when driving in from the Camp Verde area. We enjoyed our meal at the Foodie Club - fresh ingredients/cool breakfast place with some other tasty stuff on the menu. And enjoyed the homemade fudge (lots of flavors available, they'll give you a sample to try a few if you can't decide) at Grand Canyon Chocolate Factory in Tusayan. We also loved the wide variety and pricing of souvenirs at the Grand Canyon Trading Post in Tusayan.

The location was great for proximity to the National Park and surrounding trails. Food and cocktails were convenient and great quality. Staff was very friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. Couldn't have asked for better, and for a great price.

I liked that Tusayan was only about 6 miles from the Canyon.
I liked that Tusayan was only about 6 miles from the Canyon. We drove to the park at 7 AM and had breakfast at the El Tovar hotel in the park. No waiting to enter the park, and only a short wait for breakfast (with a window view of the canyon).
The town felt safe and was very quiet at night.
The room was no frills but adequate and comfortable. The sound insulation was great. Despite being fully booked I never heard the other guests. It's extremely close to the South Rim entrance and all the tours, shops, general stores, restaurants are basically walking distance. Location is the main thing this Hotel has going for it. The furniture and beds were also very comfortable.
The room and bathroom are very clean, no unpleasant smells. We chose a room on the first floor and we had a great view and access to the forest. In general, a very good hotel and service, and most importantly, the location is close to the Grand Canyon National Park. The hotel has a swimming pool, a spa area and restaurants with attractive prices and delicious food.
The room was spacious - although I was on the ground floor and very close by the reception area/pool/gym so the view was limited (view on the parking in front of the hotel), it was actually very quiet and very handy to leave swiftly super early in the morning for a super early hike in to the Grand Canyon park. I didn't not use the breakfast or dinner facilities.
Quite a big hotel, but I think the proximity to the National Park creates the need for a lot of rooms. We liked the proximity to the Park, we spent the night before exploring the Park itself. The village of Tusayan itself is nothing special, it offers some restaurants, but we just ate in the restaurant in the hotel itself, which was quite good.
Very spacious apartment a short drive from the Grand Canyon (in Tusayan). Our willingness to stay in Tusayan saved us hundreds (versus staying in Grand Canyon Village), to include better food options at a much cheaper price. The apartment was huge and offered plenty of space for us.
Room was big and seemed clean. There was parking right outside the room. Hotel is about 15 min from Grand Canyon, so its the last village outside the nationalpark. There are some restaurants nearby. We didnt try the breakfast or dinner in the hotel.
The hotel is situated 15 minutes from the Grand Canyon. In summertime, a shuttlebus toward the parc leaves near the hotel. However, from september, this shuttlebus doesn't run anymore.
The staff is really kind (and very entousiastic at breakfast).
The staff was friendly, the room was comfortable, the 2 pools and 2 spas were both relaxing, the breakfast was B+ but amazing for the cost, and the location was grand. My friends and I have decided that this is the best Best Western.
The room worked well for our family of three. The breakfast was much better than most breakfasts provided by other hotels. The location was perfect as we could walk to everything we needed to do in Tusayan.
Really liked the main hotel. Restaurants and bars. Great atmosphere. If we had it to do again we would have stayed in the hotel, however, we had dogs with us so chose studio.
Rooms were large and comfortable. Walking distance to restaurants (Tusayan is very small so very walkable). Breakfast was not included, but the prices were very reasonable
the rooms were ok. the price of the room was really off. it was the most expensive in town but really the hotel was nothing special and I wish i had booked a cheaper one.
The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was wonderful! We really enjoyed the cinnamon rolls! The hotel is very close to restaurants and the Grand Canyon.
