The hotel is relatively close to the train station. Good directions were given in advance to walk to the hotel. Breakfast was very good. It mostly consisted of croissants and cakes, but adequate meat and cheese were also available. The staff was very nice. On our last morning, it started to rain as we were leaving for the train station and we were very kindly offered a ride so we wouldn't get wet.

The ancient Etrurian city of Perugia forms a unique and romantic pattern, and is surrounded by green hills. Take the escalators, go up to the Rocca, and admire the panorama of juxtaposed layers of churches and ‘palazzi’ built during thousands of years. Perugia’s Old Town still houses several hotels and restaurants that are centuries old.
The city has a vibrant cultural life and is home to several important institutions, such as the renowned local university, the University for Foreigners, and other institutes. The International Journalism Festival, the Umbria Jazz, and the Eurochocolate Festival are major annual activities. I really enjoyed the Art Museum and shopping experience.
I really enjoyed the Art Museum and shopping experience. I also had a couple of fabulous meals and enjoyed a relaxing time in the piazza with fresh squeezed orange juice. I walked around a lot and experienced the public market on Saturday. I would have enjoyed more than my 1.5 day stay, but it was enough to give me a feel for the place. l

It is a wonderful historic city.
It is a wonderful historic city. Although it is perched on high ground it is very accessible through public escalators in various parts of the city and with a minimetro from the Perugia station right up to the top at a very small price. Very convenient.

Nice , quaint city, the best was not having many tourists like nearby Assisi. many good restaurants to choose from (old city). being perched on a top of a hill , you need to be prepared to walk/climb quite a bit (but worth the effort)

Historic town with many historic buildings.
Historic town with many historic buildings. Easy to travel by mini metro and rail to Assisi. A shuttle bus operates to take visitors up to the old town. Lots of eating facilities and many restaurants. We used Perugia as a base from which we could visit Assisi.

A very picturesque, historical old town with plenty of cafes and restaurants; Uphill climb into the town centre is massively helped by the open air escalators and elevators; driving in the ZTL (very narrow streets) and parking in the centre is an issue (no possibility to book a parking space in advance) - but it may have been due to the increased inflow of tourists during the Umbria Jazz Festival

Perugia is not only a great city in itself but also a great...
Perugia is not only a great city in itself but also a great base to explore the wonders of Umbria and even Tuscany. We had a week there and spent three days in the city itself sight seeing and shopping - highlights included the amazing new gallery, practically empty, the amazing Nobile Collegio del Cambio frescoed by Perugino, the medieval aquaduct that you can walk along and of course the Perugina chocolate factory (reached by Bus A from the Bus or train station if you don't have a car.) We also went on day trips to Gubbio, Lake Trasimeno and Spoleto by bus or train. I will be back as there were many other places that I would like to visit and Perugia makes a convenient hub. We also always found welcoming restaurants to eat in the evening and even got quite a few new clothes.
The hotel was really beautiful and the room very clean. There was a large parking space free of charge. The breakfast was wonderful with really quality products and of course, with many types of chocolates. The breakfast got even better when a very friendly person from the staff, Eriona, brought us an italian coffee and grated chocolate on it instead of sugar. It was the best coffee ever. On my next trip to Perugia, I will definitely book this hotel again.
We had a very good time at Hotel Morlacchi in Perugia. The hotel has an excellent location, very close to the absolute centre of the historical town. At the same time, the accommodation includes free parking just a couple of minutes from the hotel, which is very convenient. We felt welcome at the hotel, and everyone was very friendly and helpful. Many thanks for the great stay at Hotel Morlacchi!
This is a super clean apartment with a great shower, kitchen and bedroom. It’s perfectly located near Perugia’s mini Metro and has parking. The situation was perfect for us, as we are both enjoying the old town and driving to the beautiful villages nearby. The owners were amazingly helpful with suggestions for restaurants in only Perugia, but also the neighboring towns. They were wonderful!
The apartment is perfect, it had everything we needed for our 3 night stay. The centre is accessible by a short walk through the park which takes you to the escalators. We travel through Italy a lot and can honestly say the hospitality of Giovanni, the host, is exceptional. He made sure our stay was perfect. If you find yourself in Perugia, this is the place to stay.
This hotel has the perfect location - 5 min walk to city centre and 2 min walk to the "mini-metro" (which is actually a funicular that takes you from Perugia train station up the hill, on which Perugia is built). The staff was super nice- I have food allergies and they let me use the microwave to heat my own food. The rooms open onto an inner courtyard.
Goog working hotel, wifi OK, without problems, excellent parking, the hotel has its own large parking lot, friendly staff, cleanliness and and excellent, very rich breakfast.
Convenient location with easy access to the city centre - also on foot, although up the hill, but only 15 minutes and you are in the historical centre.
An ideal location right in the centre of the historic centre of Perugia. The family running the hotel went out of their way to be helpful and friendly and always helped with the parking of our car. Our room was ample and very clean and quiet. The hotel is a few minutes walk from the main square and lots of good restaurants.
Stayed at about 10 different places on Italy this trip and this could be the most enjoyable. Spacious accommodation. It seemed the definition of villa living. Generous spaces, beautiful view, well-equipped kitchen, lovely bedroom with fireplace nook. "She said she felt like a princess here."
Great walkable location.
We were disappointed we had to pay 30 Euros to park which increased the cost of our stay.
Breakfast was wonderful!
Room clean , staff very nice.
Would recommend you don’t try to drive a car here. It’s on the ZTL zone as you approach hotel, very confusing!
The location is very good and the whirlpool was amazing. The room exceeded our expectations, it is modern, clean, and overall awesome as it has everything you need. We traveled along Italy and this was the best room we stayed at by far and at the center of Perugia.
This hotel is fantastic value for the price. Staff is very accommodating, rooms are clean and serviced daily, beds are very comfortable, Wi-Fi is solid and there is hot water (not to be taken lightly when traveling Italy). I will absolutely return.
Very convenient right in the centre of Perugia. Lovely staff very helpful. Room was very clean! Great view, great food. One night we stayed in the hotel outside terrace as the food and atmosphere was so nice. Would 10/10 go back and recommend!
Nice authentic hotel at a perfect location for visiting Perugia. Rooms are a little dark due to blends(could only open one). Staff is very helpful especially with the parking and the terras is well suited for a breakfast or an afternoon drink
Room and bathroom were quite spacious and felt very clean! Staff was also super nice and kind. The hotel is located ~15-20min from Perugia and 25-30 min from Assisi, so a nice option if you’re planning to visit the main cities in Umbria.
historic hotel and location. one of best in Perugia. town is lovely but nothing much to do after couple of days. visit to Assisi is great by taxi. day trip. plan a full day. Perugia food is fantastic. cheaper and wines are great.
Amazing views and beautiful balcony. Super clean hotel room with great style and elegance. Residenza Il Punto was our favorite part of our trip to Tuscany, also Perugia was a wonderful city.
5-6 Star Relaxing Hotel, excellent Breakfast, very friendly and professional staff, probably best we seen during this weeks Italy trip. We also had dinner which was very reasoneble rates..
The Brufani is one of our favourite hotels that provides a touch of luxury and attention to detail without being ‘stuffy’. Choice in the breakfast room is exceptional.
