This was my second visit and I stated earlier that I would review after this latest stay. The hotel is in a lovely situation near a river and you can enjoy a walk in the evening sun along it. The staff are lovely, friendly and helpful. The room was clean and well maintained during my visit. The breakfast has a good choice of food to cover every taste. Two exciting happening's during the visits, no eggs for two days breakfasts and a fire false alarm which had us all out of our beds in the early hours for a while.. It is my last visit to England but I would happily return to the hotel again.

The location was perfect for our trip down to the Harry Potter studio tour. Just a 15 minute drive away and in a quiet rural spot.
The main room was stunning and very spacious.
The hosts are really friendly and made sure we knew where everything was.
There's also a lovely outdoor area but sadly we didn't get to use it because of the cold weather. Would definitely recommend.
A light and airy lounge, bar and restaurant area. Used for business lunches during weekdays. More children on the weekends due to the proximity to Harry Potter Studios, but they are out all day.
The food menu is diverse enough if you are planning on eating there over a few days, and the food is good.
The staff are welcoming and pleasant, especially at breakfast.
The room was clean and quiet.
I would definitely return there happily.

The staff are so helpful.
The staff are so helpful. It’s easy to get to - perfect for Harry Potter world. There seemed to be a few other attractions near by too.
The pool and gym were a little shabby but the kids loved it and it was a great way to tire them out.
The breakfast was great and at the other end of the day the bar was comfy, inviting and well stocked.

I thought this place was perfect for us. We met our grandchildren there and they loved the pool.
The evening menu was great for adults, unfortunately the children didn’t like anything but that’s not saying it was good. Picky eaters!

The accommodation was a very high standard and the host were very helpful. We needed to check in early to attend a family function and the hosts were more than willing for us to do so.Everthing was made easy for us and although the host was available to us we were given privacy .The only problem we encountered was the m25 which had lane closures but we soon overcame that

The staff were lovely. Really helpful.
The staff were lovely. Really helpful. Put surprise birthday card and sweets in the room foe my son, which he loved. The room was tiny. Just enough space to walk between the double bed and the sofa bed. Bothe mattresses were extremely uncomfortable. Breakfast was basic and not much choice. We got there at around 9 and some stuff had run out and without asking wouldn't of been refilled.

We can’t really comment on Hemel Hempstead itself as we were there to catch up with relatives and only had two days and the weather was dreadful so we didn’t get to see much! But the people we met were friendly and helpful

The room I booked for two nights was no longer available was disappointed
The hotel was very busy with children on a coach tour I feel that’s why my room was cancelled to give to a family! As I booked a suite
After visiting here for some years I noticed a Change on this visit
Very friendly reception staff a young lady very helpful and efficient bar area managed well and clean
We were initially allocated a first floor room but they changed that at our request. The room we were given was the best hotel room we had in a 7 week trip. It was a good size and had a small sofa so you didn't have to sit on the bed to watch television. If you have trouble with stairs, make sure you request a ground floor room. Breakfast was included and was plentiful.
I have stayed here a few times when in the area for work and leisure. It's definitely the best place to stay with great rooms, great staff and lovely food and drink. All the staff are so friendly and helpful they make you feel like a friend than a guest. I'll be back again you can count on that. Special thanks to Brett for making my stay a truly wonderful one
Certainly a covid secure hotel, soothing ambience, not loud bars or music. Dining room suitable for children to eat in in the evening, and foods delicious. Perfect location for Harry Potter World and despite being just off the M1 had a lovely leafy country feel to it. Would absolutely stay again if in the area.
I like the thought they put into equipping and decorating the place. It gave a homely feel, was very clean and the bed was exceptionally comfy for me. Even though it is located right in the centre of Hemel Hempstead I had a very good sleep. Much better sleep than in any hotel really. So all was really good..
We have been traveling for 5 weeks in the UK. This is THE best place we’ve stayed! Bed was SO comfy. Impeccably clean. Room was warm and man at desk came promptly down to switch it. Breakfast-big wow! Bacon, sausage, etc. Hated to leave.
Everything was perfect. Everything we needed was there. Best place I have stayed in for a long long time. There was nothing missing. Fantastic. Would certainly recommend this hotel over and over again.
Size of the room was great, location of the hotel was good. Great view in morning.
Reception were very swift with dealing with some noisy guests above me after 11PM.
Wifi was fast when connected.
We stayed at Shendish Manor for a few nights whilst visiting family in the area. The hotel was ideally situated and it was clean and comfortable and the staff were very helpful.
Met by Martin who was very helpful, allowing us an early check in. Lovely, clean, well furnished apartment ideally located for Hemel Hempstead town centre and Station.
The property was very clean and airy. The balcony was a nice touch. There are a lot of shops and restaurants around the area and the apartment was very comfortable.
Very friendly and helpful staff.
Nice breakfast set up and seating area.
Games for kids to play with. Colouring in sheets at reception etc.
Nice sized room.
Treated very well and hosts where superb. we will using this hotel again as we have future work in the area and it has proven to be excellent value for money.
The rooms were a nice size. The beds were very comfortable and clean. The area was quiet and nice. Everything was well stocked with clean dishes and towels.
