This was a lovely place to stay. If you are after a very quiet place away from it all, then you should stay here. Lovely restaurant around the corner, you can borrow bikes from the hotel for free to get about, they also have a Mahjong table for guests to play. The service was brilliant, and we got upgraded to a bigger room for free. Thank you so much.
There is a really cute Cat, that my daughters loved to pet. Thanks again for a lovely stay:)

We loved everything about Guilin Bonjour Boutique! Both Maggie and Helen were absolutely lovely and they were super helpful for our short stay. The room itself was so clean, so comfortable and it was everything we needed and more. The location of the hotel is in a little village called Lujiacun and into the ‘city centre’ where some attractions are - it’s a quick 15-20 minute DiDi. So many great food options in Guilin. It was so nice to come back to peace and quiet after an evening out for dinner.
Amazing service and both Maggie and Helen made us an early breakfast before our cruise down to Yangshuo. We can’t recommend this hotel enough and we loved our stay.

Boutique hotel with excellent hospitality. Clean and comfortable and location was good. Note that all rooms are Japanese tatami type and therefore low mattress on the raised floor. Unfortunately, my Dad had a knee problem so getting on and off the low bed was an issue for him. Otherwise, the hotel was very good with a local vibe. Get a higher floor room with a view. Worth it. Nothing to see on the lower levels.

桂林山水甲天下、人为保护意识差。酒店民宿管理亟待加强。
桂林山水甲天下、人为保护意识差。酒店民宿管理亟待加强。临江有闲别院酒店的住宿体验如下:This hotel specializes in scamming and mistreating unsuspecting foreigners. I was placed in a room with over 60 mosquitoes and recorded video footage. Although the staff changed my room, the 2nd room also had over 60 mosquitoes. They take care of mosquitoes better than they take care of guests. The staff then just gave me an electric fly swatter and told me to "deal with it". The TV was also broken. I asked the staff about it and they claimed I "didn't know how to turn it on and was operating it wrong". Even though I kindly asked them to show me how to turn it on, they were absolutely disrespectful in their refusal. I have photo and video footage of not only mosquitoes and flies. Horrific experience, avoid this place at all costs.

Guilin is a magical city, with beautiful views everywhere.
Guilin is a magical city, with beautiful views everywhere. The Prince's Palace is slightly older than the Forbidden City in Beijing and has many parts to explore. The climb to the top of the Solitary Beauty Peak at the back of Jingjiang Prince’s Palace at sunset is stunning. Karst scenery is the backdrop to a diverse and decorated skyline. Once darkness arrives, the city comes alive with lights everywhere. Glowing Bridges, boats, islands, ancient relics and the iconic Sun and Moon Temples towering over the water create a carnival for the eyes. Musicians and dancers fill the air and their joyous parades spill out along the walkways. The waterways ring the city and there are boat cruises. The boulevards downtown have wide sidewalks and are tree lined, which makes for pleasant strolling. There are something like 7 different bridges all with different scenic views of the waterways that were once part of the defense system for the ancient rulers. Guilin has been a poplular tourist destination for years, so there are a fair amount of English speakers and hip coffee houses and restaurants. It is also a jumping off point for tours to the Longji Rice Terraces, Ancient Villages and Li River cruises. All in all, we wished we had more allowed more time in Guilin as the people are charming and there were more museums and parks to explore.

Guilin is a very colourful city, especially at night.
Guilin is a very colourful city, especially at night. The markets have handmade items to buy, lots of sweet mandarins and kumquats as well. The city Centre has a selection of quaint Chinese Restaurants and western bars. Many of the locals speak very good English which makes communication easier. A truly delightful place to visit with many interesting places to explore just outside the city.

Guilin is a very nice place for relaxation, people are very kind and as a small city, all activities are within walking distance. If you want to see the real beauty of Guilin, it's better to go to Xinping where you can enjoy the old town, nice mountains (drawn on 20 Yuan banknote), and river cruise. Also, you can go to the elephant trunk park (make it around the afternoon). Impression light show in Yangshou is not as expected. so you may escape it. Reed flute cave is nice medium-size one, if you have been to another one, you may escape it. All in all, it's worth to visit the city and enjoy nature. Don't forget to install Didi taxi service. It's available in English.

Guilin taxi drivers understand marketing and customer...
Guilin taxi drivers understand marketing and customer service and my Goo Hotel was efficient, but l have passed thru Guilin many times only to find the city beautiful but people in general not really very friendly.... especially if you don't speak Chinese. It is pretty clear that all the people want is your money. l have lived in Zhuhai for 18 years and avoid Guilin other than just passing through on my way to Yangshuo...or Longji Titian. LM sorry.
This is our second time staying at this hotel, and we love the deep Chinese cultural essence it embodies. Whether it’s the living environment or the food and tea offered in the restaurant, everything reflects the refined taste of the hotel owner. I found this is not merely a hotel providing accommodation, it is also a great place to immerse oneself in local culture, learn about cuisine, tea art, and oriental culture. for me the value of these experiences has exceeded that of the accommodation itself.
We spent two nights in Holiday Inn Guilin. The location is very central, next to the main shopping street and to the lake with pagodas. A lot of food options nearby. Very efficient and friendly, English speaking staff, that helped us when we forgot some items in the hotel. They have shipped it to our next destination. We used travel agency in the hotel to arrange a trip to the rice terraces. Rich breakfast with many options for everybody. Comfortable and clean rooms. We are very happy with our stay
Comfortable room and friendly staff. The location is few minutes walk from a stunning cave to visit and not so far from Guilin center (15 min cab which costs around 2€). Also good laundry and massage service :) I had a guide who picked me up from the hotel to do the typical hikes and tours which I would recommend for every tourist because it is difficult to do these things alone around that area if you don‘t speak chinese.
The location is very good. It's close to the center. Just a short bus ride and you can get anywhere in the city. If you want to hike up some mountains or relax at a quieter place, you can visit Seven Star Park, which is right next to the hotel. The room and bathroom were clean. The owners were very friendly and did speak english. I even had the pleasure of enjoying dinner with the owners family at Moonfestival.
Location is perfect next to Guilin railway station and bus station. Facilities are good, beds are big and comfy, rooms are spacious and clean.
Staff is really good and helpful. They helped us book our train by writing our destinations in Chinese so it was much more easier at the train counter. The can also recommend you with good places to eat nearby. They kept our luggages a few days too while traveling.
The hotel is located within a walking distance to the Guilin Railway station and most of the attractions in the city. The beds were very comfortable, room clean. Staff speak English and was very helpful with booking all attractions, taxis etc. Very good breakfast. You get great quality for low price. So far, one of the best places we have stayed in China. Highly recommended!
Continental breakfast will fill the belly with a tasty latte to start the day. Great location to begin our adventures of Guilin. Pedaling on city bikes was easy to get around to see the city’s attractions. Junshe recommended a lot of places and were helpful in our Yangshuo planning. A very friendly hotel to stay in. Enjoy!
This hotel is spectacular. The furnishings are off the charts as far as Chinese style. Gorgeous.
The staff are lovely, intelligent, amazing young women who are treasures and help you with anything.
The location is across from a wonderful lake that lights up at night. You can walk to attractions also.
The accommodation is located is right in the midst of Guilin city’s highlights. The hotel’s personnel is nice, helpful and all speak very good English.
We highly recommended this hotel to anyone who would like te visit Guilin and the wonders around it (i.e., Yangshuo, Longji Rice Terraces).
Location was very convenient. Breakfast was wonderful with a lot of western food items. The kids enjoyed the swimming pool after coming tired from the rice terraces. The room was quite spacious with comfortable bed. I will recommend the hotel to everyone especially for family with kids.
The receptionist was very nice! Generally a very friendly atmosphere. The location is close to the East railway station (high speed train, around 6min to walk)
The city centre of Guilin is farther away, but easily to reach with the bus (35min ride but busses go very frequently).
The hotel was really charming, in a cute little village, and the bedroom was really big with a nice terrace. The personnel was so kind, welcoming and helpful. Perfect to do the Longji Rice terraces and stay at the same time not far from Guilin, we recommend!!
The location of the hotel is good. It is surrounded with many eating outlets and shopping outlets. It has a tour desk counter for day tour as well. Front desk staff is polite and energetic. Breakfast hall staff is polite as well. Room is clean and comfort.
Very nice hotel with a great location and facilities. We particularly enjoyed the kindness of the staff who made our stay in Guilin a very nice moment, in particular Melody who kindly helped us organize our day-trips. Thanks again.
Absolutely amazing room- spacious, spotless, good quality mattress, great quality toiletries. Excellent staff service - spoke good English, very responsive to all additional requests. Hotel is located in the heart of the city.
We needed a place to crash that was close to Guilin North train station. This hotel was walking distance from the train station and the staff were very friendly. The room was simple but comfortable. It completely met our needs.
Good view, nice interior and bathroom and conveniently close to the airport! The two pagodas are about 30 minutes from the hotel by car. There is a nice park near the hotel and a mall where you can grab some McDonald's.
