The accommodation is not within walking distance of Kingsbridge which is around 7 miles away. Kingsbridge is a lovely town, we have family there, but did not stay around there - Blackpool Sands and Torcross/Slapton Sands are a short drive away and I recommend visiting these too.JacquelineUnited Kingdom - 8.0Scored 8.0
Everything but one pub was shut on Sunday!
Everything but one pub was shut on Sunday! Otherwise, picturesque, lots of independent shops as well as supermarkets, clean and tidy. Everything was walking distance from our flat. We chose Kingsbridge for the Wild Artichokes restaurant. Its location is awful but the food and service were excellent. In the other pubs and restaurants, the price of a main course is £15 - £22.

The cottage was lovely and once you are there is in a fabulous location. The tight lanes to get to the property can be tricky to navigate especially at night and in the rain. Oncoming traffic can be an issue if there is not a lay-by or pull-in area nearby. It can of course be done with caution and the locals do thank you for reversing to the most appropriate passing place.

Owner was very helpful with providing washing powder as we had been traveling for some time and needed to wash some clothes. Tea and coffee and fresh milk were provided, along with chocolate biscuits. The location is a little bit out of Kingsbridge and up some steep hills so we could take an evening stroll into town, but on the other hand the house backed onto fields and the area was nice and quiet. It was just right for us for two nights.

An easy 15 minute walk from the bus stop in Kingsbridge, or a quick 2 minute taxi ride. The farm and grounds are beautiful and the room itself is massive like a suite. Heated floors in bathroom with a sizeable tub and separate shower. I will definitely stay here again when I am in Kingsbridge. The property is perfectly located in the heart of the peaceful and quiet South Pool, many of the beaches and coastal walks are just 10-15 mins drive away. The room is airy and spacious. Sheila and Tim were fantastic hosts, giving us plenty of suggestions on walking trails, restaurants and pubs, as well as delicious homemade bread and marmalade. Highly recommended.

We visited Salcombe, Hope Cove and Dartmouth - all no more than half an hours drive. The property was very clean and tidy. It’s fairly small but perfect for 2 people.
