It was fascinating sleeping in a real boat on the channel! The host was very kind and the possibility of free parking was really useful. The position is perfect for visiting the city. Just consider that, since it is a boat, there are a few short but steep stairs, so it is not easy to get to your room with a big luggage.

The mess on boat, not looking quite welcoming when you are bumping in to a vacuum cleaner and other mess by passing to your cabin

The lot of space: nice sleeping area and sitting area, there was also a nice terrace, unfortunately we couldn’t enjoy it cause of rain weather

Not something I didn’t like but needed to be aware of. The lighting in the kitchen area was not there so we used the lamp from the bedroom. The steps up and down from the wheelhouse to our cabin were steeper than expected.

The boat was spacious, comfortable and provided a good base for exploring Ghent. The breakfast was left outside our door in a wicker hamper. The food was fresh and the coffee station was well stocked with capsules for the coffee maker.

It was a 20 minute walk from the town. but this wasn’t a problem.

We stayed in the captains room with a toddler. The boat was a unique property. It was clean, and the room was spacious, with a separate area for the sofa and tv. We had asked to use the travel cot, but unfortunately when we arrived it was broken. So the staff went out to buy a brand new one. Breakfast arrived in a cute basket and had bread, cheese, meat, fruit and spreads.

there's nothing not to like you've only have to keep in mind you're on a boat and space to move limited but other than that it all went fine

we've liked everything the location was good - within reasonable walking distance of the center parking for free on the spot nice rooms with facilities like to make your own coffee and tea a small cooking ring which we didn't use a fridge the owners who were friendly and helpfull a lovely and big breakfast in the morning

The wi-fi signal is not very stable. It’s fine for surfing but not for work. The shower and the toilet are in a one small room, though it’s very reasonable on the boat

It was a wonderful experience, the room is perfectly equipped that you can forget you are on a boat. Great location with easy access to the center, but the atmosphere ensures a relaxing time. The breakfast was delicious! Highly recommended!

Stayed for 4 nights 12th Sept. Quirky accomodation which we really loved and the breakfast hamper each morning was great. Great location, easy walk to Ghent which is a lovely city.. Owner very helpful, we hired a kayak from him, which was better value than the trips on trip advisor and from the door, would recomend.

What we didn't like: it was really too bad we could only stay for one night.

A unique B&B on a river near the inner city of Gent. Despite arriving ridiculously late, the owner was super friendly and we had a nice rest, not to mention a good breakfast the morning after. Very recommended.

The shower is awful. It is very near the toilet without any curtain. Moreover, there is no door from the sleeping room to the bathroom. Moreover, the water temperature was very unstable, it was really hard to get hot water. I didn't have much expectations from a boat, but this property was still beyond my expectations. Also the stairs are rather hard and dangerous. I didn't feel any benefits from being on a boat, but there are a lot of uncomfortable things there.

Breakfast was quite delicious. The room is equipped with a fridge, kettle and coffeemachine.

Said 10 mins to the centre walking, we are all fit and it took 22 mins walking through some not so nice streets to get to the centre. The shower and toilet are 1 room which was rusty and when you have a shower the toilet gets wet and so does the floor. Access to the room is through the old bridge room and is steep with your luggage my friend slipped and hurt his knee.

Breakfast was nice, a basket of bread fruit meat and cheese with some juices.
