This is located in a quiet spot in the middle of the city and in walkable distance to most things. The suite itself is large with a dining room/kitchen and a lounge in addition to the bedroom. Everything is in spotless condition and very comfortable. The reception was friendly and helpful and we were able to add an extra night. It has its own parking which is next to the hotel but it can be interesting to find it.

Facing the beachfront, Enorme Santanna Beach offers 4-star accommodations in Ierapetra and has a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, fitness center and garden. The resort overlooks the sea and has stunning, staggered rooms in a minimalist, clean aesthetic. We enjoyed the great service from their friendly staff who were helpful and attentive. Beach access is great and as hotel guests, we got to enjoy the sunbeds for free. We had a double room with a shared pool and great views. The room was well equipped with toiletries, a Nespresso machine, bath robes and slippers. The nightly themed menu at the restaurant was varied and we didn't get tired of what was on offer. The variety was excellent for a buffet-style menu and the ingredients were fresh. The drinks selection was extensive and we enjoyed the different, tasty cocktails. A special shout out to all the staff that made our stay wonderful. Katia at the hotel restaurant who was always cheerful and paid attention to detail. Andreas, Kaia and team at the beach bar who took great care of us while we enjoyed our time by the beach. Stelios at the pool bar who served us amazing cocktails, always with a smile on his face. Ioanna who helped at the pool bar and was so sweet. Anna at the reception who answered all our questions and gave us insightful information. The staff truly made our stay that much more amazing.

Everything about this hotel is incredible. Do not listen to any bad review about this place, it far exceeded any of our expectations. The staff were attentive, polite and genuinely cared about the hotel and it’s guests. It has a very nice family feel, it’s quiet and great location for accessing the town. The breakfast is impressive, the room spotless and we had no reason to leave our amazing balcony area or private pool. The town is 10 minutes in a taxi at 7euros, so you are not in the hustle and bustle but easily accessed. The complimentary bottle of Prosecco went down a treat on arrival too. It is a stunning hotel and you will not be disappointed, we didn’t want to leave.

Our favorite leg of our time on Crete. It was a great location to explore the western part of the island, with some of the major beaches (Balos, Elafonisi) at drivable distances from Chania. We also hiked Samaria Gorge, which we would definitely recommend. But the biggest surprise was how much we enjoyed the Old Town of Chania. Strolling around the Venetian Harbor was picturesque and lively, and at the end of our stay we found ourselves already trying to plan our next visit.
Great area in Chania, Crete, very good hotel. Beach is very good and very sandy, staff is very friendly, the all inclusive is well worth it unless you do not like buffet style. The ala cart restaurant has good good food but did not like to pay for drinks even for the water when I had an all inclusive package. Book third floor on the ocean side because the trees block the ocean on lower levels
I don’t understand what is special about this town. It’s crowded, dirty, loud, pricey. I came mainly for Knossos and that was completely overrated. My least favorite city in Crete so far. I could’ve done without it.
Crete is am amazing island with a very long history and many places to visit to learn about their history and to see the buildings left behind by the various civilizations who have lived there. Heraklion is situated in the center of the long and narrow island and that facilitates visiting all the interesting places in a day trip each. The people who live in Heraklion are friendly and hospitable, everyone we interacted with , and I mean everyone, spoke quite good English.
We stayed in the old section of town which has generally been updated while keeping the historic look. Most of the streets are pedestrian only, very narrow and lined with wonderful restaurants, artsy shops, and boutiques of clothing and jewelry. The merchants are very friendly and helpful whether you make a purchase or not. The area is calm and safe to walk around even late at night. We rented a car for four days and explored around the island. This was easy, fun to drive the mountain roads and see the thousands of years of history. We recommend eating at the family run Galini Restaurant which is located facing the Mediterranean Sea in the central area of the old town. Their prices are reasonable, food excellent and they always gave us extras with the comment, “ try this, it is typical Crete, no charge!”
Beautiful smaller city on the ocean with view of mountains. I liked the waterfront restaurants and the shopping areas. Easy to walk around and excellent sea food. Bigger city than I thought it would be and if I had to choose between cities in Crete then I would choose Rethymno over Chania. Rethymno is similar to Chania but about 1/2 the population.
Quiet and cosy, with a great beach and restaurants. My favorite place on Crete so far, I think. The Polifimos tavern was especially lovely — great food and vibe.
Great archaeological and Crete life museums. Wonderful old Venetian port. Good restaurants. Short bus ride to Knossos Palace. Lovely historic center. Impressive wall surrounding the historic center.
It ended up being our favorite beach. Not as promoted as the others so we didn't plan for as much time there but next time we will definitely plan for a longer stay! The best fish tavern in all of Crete is at the light house, Captain Nicholas.
we stayed at flisvos rooms and they were perfect .........had a sea front room with a balcony .......Maria the host was most helpful with all our needs .........it's a very quite beach community with clear water and clean beaches....lots of restaurants and bars ......it was our best stop of three weeks in crete.........

I can sincerely recommend Baladinos apartments. Great location both for staying there right on stretch of beach with lot of natural shade. Apartment provides sunbeds and umberellas, and for exploring north/west Crete and Chania. Main road is 2min drive from apartment, and from there it is not long drive for some of best beaches. Hosts were very pleasant, with very good advices which hidden gems of this area to visit. Be sure to ask them for this! Rooms were cleaned daily! Big garden space, all in all very relaxing and pleasant place.

Amazing nice little and quite place with fantastic people. It was such a very warm welcome from the amazing staff of the Hotel and they were always there for us to make our stay as best as possible. Our apartment was nice and comfortable. The view from the restaurant is very nice and the food was very good. We would like to thank the owner Sara and her team (especially Nicolas) for the very nice time and we hope to return in the near future. We would recommend everyone who likes to visit western Crete to stay at this awesome place.

I really liked the atmosphere at the Kumba Hostel, it is beautifully decorated with African pieces of art and I loved that. I learned that Kumba means Home. It has vast and cozy common areas which is great. It is also very clean and well maintained. My bed had a blind which provides extra privacy in a shared dorm. The girls at the reception were very friendly and helpful. The coffee you can drink there is one of the best in Chania in my opinion. I would definitely recommend Kumba Hostel to everyone planning to visit Crete.
The property was beautiful, a great beach hotel with all the amenities. Right across the street from the beach with free chairs and umbrellas. We had a great room for our family of 4. There was a buffet breakfast every morning with lots of options which was perfect. The location was great could walk to old port Rethymno. We rented a car and drove all over Crete so being located in the middle was perfect. The staff was nice and sincere and very helpful. Everything was always clean. Thank you Atlantis Beach Hotel!!
Victoria Hotel is a traditional Greek family run hotel. The room we had was immaculately clean. The room had just been refitted and had a lovely bathroom with walk in shower. The balcony although quite small had an absolutely stunning sea view. The owners of the hotel were always smiling and cheerful and were happy to help with anything we asked. The location of the hotel was perfect for the town and the beach. I really cannot say enough about how lovely this hotel is, and how it enhanced our holiday in Crete.

Hotel was awesome! Loved that they had a gym! Beach front was not as nice as it could be , there is a boat rental company that is right there basically where you would swim. Food was great, not cheap however was nice portions and well made. Drinks expensive but well made. One negetive that I would say is the hotel is a taxi drive from everything. Keep this in mind if you want to do things around Crete. Walking is a bit far to any near by areas of interest.
The venue and the bedroom are so perfect; new, spacious, spotlessly clean and very well designed with separation of toilet and bathroom. The beds are very comfortable. Breakfast is variety and well prepared. The staffs carefully help with high service mind ; called the taxi, provided the bus times, booked the ferry and prepared the meal box on the day that we left so early. We highly recommend Artion Boutique City Hotel to anyone who visits Heraklion, Crete.
Hotel was really lovely, just a little walk from the town centre. Lovely setting with an outdoor bar with grass area facing a private beach area. The room was a great size and very comfortable. The staff went out of their way and were extremely accommodating. Best of all was the buffet breakfast which was way above our expectation. Probably the best breakfast we have had in Crete. Would definitely stay here again.

Apartment was absolutely lovely and clean with an amazing large balcony facing the beach. Hosts supplied everything you could possibly need plus they threw in a large basket of fruit, olive oil and local pastries. The apartment is in walking distance to the main restaurants and even has a good taverna within 50meters. We have been traveling around Crete for 3 weeks and this was our nicest stay by far. We loved it!!
The Hotel is in the South of Crete in a not so turist area, is great for families with kids, lots of activities in the Kids Club, the animation team was great. Also the traditional Cretan Restaurant that they have, the food and the service were fantastic. If you get tired of the buffet, which is pretty good, you can go to the Town of Ierapetra, just 10 min walking by the promenade. Overall we had a great time.

Theos Apartments is fabulous choice for a stay on Crete near Chania town. Apartment was really spacious, well organized, clean, pool was great. The best part is staff - Katerina's family - friendly, always ready to help, prepare great and tasty snacks or drinks. We will definitely come back again. Hotel Ormiros was lovely. The room was very spacious and well equipped, with large comfortable beds. The decor and presentation throughout the hotel was exceptional. Most of all, the staff were amazing, polite, friendly and courteous and went the extra mile to make our stay as nice as possible. Our stay was great value for money and would certainly stay again when next in Crete.

We stayed for a week there. Apartment were fully equipped, clean and modern. It has beautiful view from its balcony. Staff was very helpful we received paper and digital maps from the area got many tips. In the apartment there were some very nice gifts home made olive oil, traditional drink and wine. We will come here again for sure if we come to Crete again.
Best hotel I've been to. 5 star employees. I don't think I've ever been treated so well as at the Nema Hotel. The facilities, the food, the location are excellent. And again, the employees are always willing to help and go beyond expectations. When I return to Crete I will stay at Nema 100% I was sorry to leave. It was a fantastic week
The Hotel ist perfectly located in Agia Galini and the view from the roof terrace was the best. The Studio Apartment was just perfect for 2. All staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. Dimos was always there to help giving good advise. Very hospitable place and we will definitly come back, when we are in Crete again.
