Price, location, rooms, customer service friendly.
Airy, bright, handy for the sea and for Porto. Excellent transport - metro and 500 bus round the coast with lovely views. Transport is cheap with an Andante card that you can use on both. Handy shops and restaurants.

Super family room with child bed in slightly separate wing for privacy. This hotel was ideally situated to attend the Porto U11 International Football Tournament. It was also so close to local transport links it would enable tours of old town and new, visit port outlets etc. all very easy to accomplish.

Great location, beach is lovely lots of surfing, bigger waves nearer to Porto city end , lovely shops and cafes ,
Metro and bus into city , double decor bus best as you see right along the beach , just tap on with your bank card no faffing with validating , and just as fast , big yellow number 500 ,
The port is an interesting look around and fish market, expect it to be a bit smelly though it’s a huge working port

We loved that we did not need to rent a car (Uber was always a few minutes away). There were many activities to do: Beach, water sports, Restaurants, Casa da Guitarra Fado show, Porto & Wine Tasting. The city is walkable and full of small interesting shops and buildings. I highly recommend Bacalhau in Muro dos Bacalhoeiros 153 - 155

I would not stay in the suites again but enjoyed the locality of the old town of Matosinhos and it’s very nice beach. There is a very moving sculpture on the beach about the tragic loss of the fishing fleet and many men from the town, during a terrible storm in the last century. There are many really good traditional restaurants with delicious traditional Portuguese food, away from the beach area. The public transport is good with Metro and bus connections to central Porto. There are many beautiful art nouveau and art deco era buildings in the town.
We wanted to spend the last day of our trip to Portugal next to the ocean and we got that. The balcony from which you can see the ocean was a very nice thing. The bathroom was quite good. The common part of the apartments felt like the hosts just left it for you yesterday. Small but nice kitchen. Very good dining table with the option to enjoy the meal in front of TV set (we were too tired after Porto :D). The private parking was not maybe necessary, but still a nice feature - you can literally put suitcases from the car into the house.
Overall, I would stay there again whenever I will hVe businees in Matosinhos!
Location was amazing, room was clean amd very cozy.
The bathroom was nice and spacious, bed was very comfortable. AC worked very well.
Staff was very positive and professional and it made my day to meet them.
To get inside after hours there is a bell outside ( I did not see it) but the staff picked up the phone provided on the website and let me in.
I would recommend letting people staying in that there is the bell outside as it is easy to miss.
I loved this hotel. It's very handy for the Camino and not far from the beach..there are cafes and bars close by and it's by a metro station in Porto. Coming from the airport is very easy too, just one change. The hotel is very quaint, it's an old hotel but with updated modern features.
The staff are friendly and kind. I arrived early and left my bag at reception. The next day I left early for the airport and a takeout breakfast was left for me to eat.
Yes the breakfast was amazing. Huge selection with many fruits and vegetables, pastries, fresh whole grain bread, eggs, sausage, even vegetable/ mushroom stir fry, yogurts, etc. They had everything even my favorite tea Roobios! Also the service in the cafeteria/banquet room by Leicia (spelling?) and Mariana was very attentive and also friendly. I will definitely be using this and any other Eurostar Hotel again!
We arrived at the Porto Airport in the afternoon to start our Camino. Fishtail Seahouse is an easy 10km walk from the Cathedral of Porto and is easy walking distance to some really great seafood restaurants. Accommodations were good. We didn't stay long enough to make use of the outdoors areas but they were very nice. This would make a great base to spend a few days while exploring.
The location was truly perfect.
10 min from the beach. 20 min to Porto with Bus 500 (one way Ticket 2€) So many nice Cafés and Restaurants nearby. The personal was nice and the breakfast had enough to not feel hungry for a couple of hours. I fell in love with Matosinhos, so whenever I come back I’ll definitely try to get a room in this Hotel again.
Spacious, well equipped guesthouse in great location with use of kitchen and patio. Outside of Porto in beach town of Matosinhos which has good transport (metro and buses), easy access to art galleries and parks, beach, cafes and restaurants. A refreshingly local choice away from ‘tourists’. Recommended.
Terrible experience with this hotel. Do not recommend it at all, very bad welcoming and understanding. I had à French passport already actif and they wanted to make me a test as if I was portuguese ...even worse they refused to refund! After one week in portugal it’s the first time it happens.
There was secure underground parking at the hotel. The hotel was based in a built up area within easy walking distance of the beach (10 -15 mins), and local restaurants. There was easy access via the train or bus to Porto for sight seeing etc. The breakfast was excellent.
Really nice hotel close to the Matosinhos beach. Really nice pool, spa and sauna. Small but sufficient gym. Very clean. Great staff. It's also close to the airport and therefore great for the first or last day in Porto. But you could definitely spend more days here.
Perfect contact via email, everything was clear from the messages after booking the apartment. Apartment was as described - big, clean and warm. Location was perfect, lot of nice restaurants, bars and shops nearby. 5 minutes walk from the Matosinhos Beach.
I love Matosinhos and this hotel was a very good option to stay there again. The price is very good compared to Porto and the quality is great for that price. Clean, big rooms, nice bed which is the most important. I'd highly recommend this hotel
small boutique/design hotel close to Matosinhos beach (surf spot) / near the fish market and excellent fish reasturants / short walk to the tram to Porto centre
polite host, rich breakfast, comfy "sleeping on the beach" room
I loved everything about our stay at the hotel. Squeaky clean room, excellent attention to guests, the staff were always very kind and helpful, and amazing location near to the beach. We will coming back for sure :)
The location was excellent near metro station, beach and nice restaurants. The apartment is also very functional. There is everything you need. Fernando was very welcoming and helpful.
The location is excellent. Very close to the metro, the beach and supermarkets. Rooms and common areas are cleaned every day. I would go back if I returned to Matosinhos. I recommend.
Location in Porto, close to bus and train station, beach just down the street, cafes next door. Staff friendly and room clean. Instant hot water in shower.
