Porto is one of the most beautiful cities I have ever seen but I love historical cities. It also has a river and ocean beaches. It is completely walkable if you stay in the center but it also has a metro that is easy to access.

An amazing and massive beautiful city, endless streets of shops and culture. The Port area is fabulous and a boat trip along the River Douro is a must. Just watch your belongings, I had my phone stolen from my bag!!
The port area is expensive but up along the streets prices are very cheap to eat and drink. The indoor market near Santa Caterina street is a must, this is the main shopping area.

Everything fine- just some tips.Take a daily ticket or a three day or if you want to come around. On the restaurant they are bring ing you some kind of appetizers - don't accept them if you don't want them - they are about 6 euro for a plate of 4,but not worthy the price in my point of view.Give a tip to the waiter instead.Pay a visit to Guimaraes as well- 50 minutes ride in train and it costs you just 7 euros return ticket in train- half of it if you're senior. Go eat where you host, tells you is best- they know where to eat as a local- i liked very much Nova Era,Café Cifrao,Vale Doce.Is a little bit away from Porto- In Matosinhos-35 minutes in bus,but you'll have the best fish in town with amazing prices on food and wine in Lage de Senhor do Pedrao.

Beautiful city with lovely views of the Douro.
Beautiful city with lovely views of the Douro. We enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and the friendly local people. Had a good Six Bridges boat trip and an excellent walking tour on the first day. I would recommend this to help find your way around Porto. Great food especially fish and the excellent pastels de nata. Make time to go to the wonderful Serraves contemporary art museum and sculpture park.

Riverside and bridges area lovely . V good nearby beaches.
Riverside and bridges area lovely . V good nearby beaches. Food - wide variety and tasty, some excellent restaurants - (Brazilian and Vietnamese). People friendly and helpful.
Easy to get lost, directions difficult - more signposts would be helpful. Even online not enough info about what there is to see inside museums and churches. Too many tourists! Everything, including churches, is pay to enter. Transport system difficult to understand (but good).
From the moment you arrive you are met with friendly and welcoming staff. Taking care of the car, a tour of the hotel and gorgeous rooms. The breakfast was exceptional! The shampoo, soap and everything else used in the rooms smell so good and are of a high quality.
The view is gorgeous and it is peaceful. It almost makes you forget that you are in a city for a moment.
The reception go out of their way to assist and they do make you fé welcome. Overall from all the hotels we stayed in in Portugal, this was by far the best!
Great little boutique hotel within old-town Porto, Portugal, convenient to many of Porto's must see charms. We were offered an unexpected junior suite upgrade upon arrival. The king bed was very comfortable, along with the robes / slippers. The artsy room decor was upbeat and inviting. The morning full breakfast buffet was delicious, as well as the expresso and coffee lattes we enjoyed on a daily basis. Very friendly professional staff, especially the helpful personalized attention received from hotel management.

They made every single thing perfect.
We wish Osvaldo were our uncle in Portugal.
We would like to stay in sleep yatch hotel in the other places in our future.
Best hotel during our entire trip across Portugal! Staff were friendly. Location is gold. Facilities are great (would be better to have more mirrors as the one in the room is a reflexive window from the bathroom), love all the inside jokes to entertain guests from all the stuff displayed in the room. Basically staying here is another one unique experience on its own.
Portugal is a city that is rebuilding itself. This small hotel located in the hustle and bustle of the city allows you to experience the city both day and night. It infects you with the energy of the locals and adds a surreal touch to your trip and selfies. If you visit, when you go out at night, you can visit a small jazz club a few blocks away
Clean, very fresh, nice smell.. I was feeling that came to the place made with love. At home has everything needed, FULLY equipped for life, I could live there with pleasure for a Month )) Has secured parking. I'm very happy and recommend to everyone (families as well). If will come back to Portugal again I will definitely stay there again.
Me and my wife were visiting Portugal and Spain for our 25th anniversary. Porto was part of our itinerary. We stayed at Eurostar for 2 nights. This is a fantastic place. It has nicely renovated rooms, central location and very friendly and hospitable staff. They have spa included in the price of the room.
It's a very social hostel you'll get to meet a lot of people in the common area, they also provide dinner at a cheap cost with sangria! Location is great, super close to a lot of sightseeing spots. There's an elevator which is quite rare in Portugal I guess
Central hôtel, reasonably priced. Full of character and old-school Portugal. Wooden floors, huit chandeliers, tiles, space, comfortable leather armchairs, internal shutters, large bathroom with huge jacuzzi bath…. Breakfast included. polite friendly staff.
Loved the city and it's history. Took yellow tour but should have done red or gray line. People were very friendly, great good food and Portugal wine was great! Our hosts greeted us on arrival and were available and very friendly. Abrigado, Franciso
This hotel makes you feel like you're in a remote part of Portugal, but you're in the city! It is absolutely beautiful, the breakfast is in a gorgeous room, and the two staff members were so helpful (Edgar and George). It made our trip so special.
Central location, lovely and very clean apartment, furnished with style and equipped with everything you could need. Filipe was the best host, he shared a lots of very good recommendations where to go and where to eat very delicious portugal food.
Very kind hosts, all the time smiling. they dont speak english but it wasnt a problem in comunication. Breakfast was Simple but tasty. (Like in every hotel we stayed on Portugal) they dont eat eggs on breakfast only ham and cheese ;)
Everything about the stay was great. The room was very comfortable and the location was perfect. The check-in and check-out process were extremely easy. The bathroom was bigger than what I saw in other hotels around Portugal.
My birthday fell during our stay and on their own the staff delivered champagne and dessert to our room. Breakfast was the best we had in any hotel in Portugal.
