Want to go surfing in Morocco? You need to visit Taghazout Surf Village! A village on the coast of Morocco, not too far from Adagir. Taghazout is well-known for its surfing and its chilled-out hippy vibe but you don’t have to surf or be a pro surfer to enjoy Taghazout! I’m not and I loved it!

The wheather is ideal, and the beaches wonderful !
The vibe of Taghazout is just so peaceful, it's like the Mocorran Bali...
Also, we went on an adventure not far from there, to watch the sunset and surf on the sand dunes. It was just magical ! We also had the chance to make a campfire, the kids were so happy !
And last bu not least... you HAVE to taste the famous bananas ;)

This was a great warm place to visit In December.
This was a great warm place to visit In December. We were there only three nights, but found plenty to do especially trying out surfing with the dive school Snoopy who had a premises very close by up the road next to the Red cafe which was next to the Teapot cafe. We ate at the Teapot 2 or 3 times, it was excellent especially the chia and mango parfait, and avocado on soda bread. Lively town with loads of young laid back cool surfers and met only friendly people. We also enjoyed Windy Bay and World of Wave restaurants overlooking the main beach. The water was rough though but exciting to paddle in, and concerns for so many wild cats and dogs, and many gorgeous puppies roaming around. Also don’t expect clean beaches or well made roads and paths, but if you overlook that, you may find it as charming as we did.

A great place for surf and chill.
A great place for surf and chill.
Panorama is a good spot for beginners to intermediate and Anchor Point is where it happens if you're more advanced (and not scared of rocks and impose yourself in the line-up), there is also Banana Point and Devil's Rock down south within a 10 minutes taxi ride and Mysteries, Killer's Point and PK25 on the north to visit.
Taghazout itself got a bit touristic these last years (I mean you can now get Acaï bowl and there is a bunch of fancy coworking spaces to sleep and work) but it's still great to stay and there is a lot of option for food and activities. You'll also meet a lot of people from all around the world (mostly surfers obviously).
The sunset from the Skate park on top of the hill is also a must see and you can rent a skateboard in town.
If you want a more authentic atmosphere you can go to Imsouane which is a bit more remote, but Taghazout is still a very nice place to stay for a week or two.

Lovely hotel with great views overlooking the beach and ocean. Clean and spacious rooms, lovely pool and spa facilities that were not overly expensive.
Great selection of excellent food and they were even able to cater for my wheat intolerance (gluten free).
The staff were friendly, particularly the reception staff offering lots of information about local facilities and trips.
A very friendly and welcoming hotel on the beach in the heart of Taghazout. We had a beautiful view of the beach from the balcony outside our room, great for sunbathing and relaxing and watching the sunset. There's a chill area on the top floor where you can relax, drink coffee and meet up with friends and family. The people who run the hotel are friendly and helpful - we rented surf gear from the hotel and they organised a taxi to Agadir for us. I would highly recommend - we had such a lovely stay.
Everything!!! Unfortunately I could stay only 1 night, which was the last one of my Moroccan trip, but next time I'll come back to Morocco this will definitely be the first place I'll visit.
Boris is a great person, very friendly, easygoing and entertaining; the atmosphere at his place is great; the view from the terrace terrific and it's literally 16 meters from the actual seafront and beach...what more would you want?
If you'll ever go to Taghazout you MUST try this place!
It's a brilliant one bedroom apartment right on the beach, the sunsets are truly memorable. The village is totally safe and bustling in the evenings. If you want to drink alcohol at you'll need to head to Agadir, there are plenty of place to buy wine, sprits and beer. In Taghazout itself World of Waves sell wine and Beer, you can sit on their terrace for a sundowner. Other hotels also sell a alcohol, but no local shops.
Location of the hotel and view from our room were excellent. We enjoyed being so close to the sea and being able to walk into the nearby village of Taghazout and towards Tamraght. We liked spending quiet time on the day beds by the adult pool (near block 5). We enjoyed the lunch and dinner; food quality was good and it was a fairly relaxed experience. Breakfast however was another matter (see below).
Great room overlooking sea and pools
Fantastic pools for swimming and outdoor jacuzzi
Location by the sea so giving option of sea or pools
Cleanliness couldn’t be faulted
Large and busy but didn’t feel over-crowded
Very well-planned and presented hotel complex
An hour’s walk along the beach to the surfy town of Taghazout which was full of local character
Our second time at the Fairmont Taghazout Bay and it won't be our last. We loved everything about this hotel, the setting/design of the hotel, the beach location, staff are so friendly and accomadating, food was excellent and some real improvements from last year. This hotel is getting better and better and will be a hot spot as the word gets out!
The ocean view was beautiful. We literally woke up in front of it. The balcony and rooftop were big and really nice. The value is good for someone who doesn’t want to spend much for a beachfront hotel. I also appreciated the fact that is was clean and renovated. Great staff and charming location.
Very nice hosts, very good location right in town, and most important it's a spacious, clean apartment with a great roof terrace from which u can overlook the whole bay of taghazout, TAMRAGHT and aourir.
For the price, it was a very good quality apartment with comfortable beds and so on...
Great new hotel in Taghazout. Easy to access from the main road and convenient location to everything. It was nicely decorated and comfortable. The staff was incredibly friendly and made us feel very welcome. The rooftop terrace had a stunning view and lots of comfy lounge pillows.
The place was clean. The Area is quite. Nice accommodation if you want to be outside of taghazout Town. But be aware of the Internet situation. And you will need to cook by yourself, because there is nothing around :) but overall it depends what you need.
The breakfast was nice, with nice coffee and tea options, local bread and other marmalade/sauces to put, eggs, fruits, etc. The location is pretty good, close to the village center/shops and the beach area / restaurants. Also quite cheap.
Breakfast was great. The bed was the best we had so far in Morocco and the room was amazing. Location also, we just expected Taghazout to have a little bit more to offer, but that has nothing to do with Munga guesthouse, which was great!
Very large site with lots to offer. Playground, gym, beach, pools, restaurants, spa, yoga, surfing, very spacious room (suite with kitchen and living room). Very good when travelling with a family. Stylish and modern and nice vibes.
The owner and the staff are very friendly and helpful.
You will experience a true Moroccan hospitality here.
Very good location, and nice view from the rooftops.
Socket in each bed(a lot of hostels in Morocco don't have this)
friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms, my stay was absolutely fantastic. I highly recommend this hostel to anyone looking for a great time in Taghazout.
