    The district I stayed in reminded me of Kerala/India. I had great walks and have seen so many interesting places besides Dutch Fort. I ate at Seagalle Hotel & Restaurant with good food, very nice staff and low prices (milk tea: 250 Rs, veg. Noodles: 650 Rs).

    I visited Galle for the Literary Festival and not as a normal tourist so it would be unfair to judge it as a tourist destination. However it is a historical town with beautiful colonial architecture, enchanting hotels and a lively atmosphere and with many bars, restaurants and plenty of shops. Probably one of the unique places on the island.

    The accommodation clearly exceeded our expectations. There are only two rooms in the complex, which makes it pleasantly quiet. Despite the small complex, there is always a janitor who is there for every request and serves breakfast very lovingly. In general, both the owner and the janitor were extremely friendly. Last but not least, the room and the pool were very modern, clean and inviting. The bed was also the most comfortable of the Sri Lanka trip so far. We liked the hotel so much that we extended our stay.

    The host was perfect! I arrived hungry and even though at that time they weren't making breakfast, the host unbeknownst to me prepared free sandwiches :) Thank you ♥️   Location is very near the rail and bus station as well as to Galle Dutch Fort. Probably a good 20 minutes walk. The market is also nearby.   The hostel is located in a very quiet area with greeneries around, more like coming home. It was also easy to get PickMe from the hostel.   The bed is very comfortable and toilets are clean.

    The hotel is right in the middle of the jungle and each room is a standalone bungalow so you really are not in the middle of tourists (and there are many in Galle). Rooms are very large and very well decorated, especially the bathroom, which is just amazing. It is super comfortable and very clean. The swimming pool is great. If you tell them in advance, they can cook lunch or dinner for you and it is excellent Sri Lankan. Breakfast was also very good and a mix of continental and Sri Lankan.

    This is a beautiful heritage building that is well maintained. The location is superb, facing the western ramparts of Galle Fort, perfect for sunsets, and just around the corner from one of the main thoroughfares. The room was very spacious and tastefully decorated. The staff were friendly and helpful. The Sri Lankan options for breakfast were delicious. Perfect for those who like unique, boutique places that make you feel more like you're staying at someone's villa than a business.

    This is by far our best stay in Sri Lanka for this trip. The hotel is brand new and every feature has been carefully selected to give you a sense of luxury. The room we stayed in is secluded and has no road, neighbor's disturbance. The beds are really, really comfy. The shower has good hot water and good pressure too. The cleanliness is exemplary. The location within the rampart means that you can walk everywhere without the crazy traffic. The breakfast was a 5 star level.

    If you are looking for a budget stay in Galle this is a great option. The room is clean and comfortable and has everything you need in a great location. Moreover the owner and his family are extremely nice and helpful. They make you feel at home with them. It is very difficult to find local food inside the fort at affordable prices. After looking for hours we saw their food offerings and they have great Sri Lankan food and beverages at very fair prices.

    A new hotel - located within the fort in a beautiful renovated house Very comfortable room. We had a free upgrade which I think the owner offers if available . The breakfast was delicious. Best Ive had in Sri Lanka .. The owner is very hospitable and helpful He arranged tuk tuk to take us out down the coast . Everything else you can walk .     Breakfast I just walk to the shop next to the homestay you are able to buy buns or Sri Lankan sweets for very affordable prices. I have taken the express bus from Galle to Colombo and its very convenient. same time Ive used the Pick Me or Uber app to go near by places in Tuk Tuk or small cars. enjoyed my stay for the 2nd time in same venue.     It is so peaceful and a real magical place! The interior, decorations and rooms are beautiful with many details. The owners Indika and Dineshi as well as the whole team is very attentive. Breakfast (Sri Lankan and western options) and dinner is very delicious. It is perfectly located to do a day trip to Galle (15min) or Unawatuna or Turtle Beach (20min).     Absolutely the best hotel I’ve stayed in in Sri Lanka. The facilities are incredible and Jinendra was very helpful. The location of the property is within walking distance of the fort and so close to the train station. i couldn’t fault anything and the breakfast was huge and incredible. Definitely the best value place in Galle and the hotel felt very luxurious - especially for the price! wifi is great.

    The staff were friendly. Beachfront property with a well designed colorful common area. Food and drinks were relatively cheap considering the area. They also have surfboards to rent.     The location is great, beautiful, we'll manicured grounds on a Rocky beach. Everything is open air for the most part and decor is luxurious but understated. The food and staff were great and my kids loved the swimming pools. About a 10 minute drive to Fort Galle which is a charming town.
