The Birches is set in a very quiet cul de sac, yet its so close to the city centre. There are several pubs, its a short walk to one called The Boathouse, where you can sit in the garden and watch rowers going by on the river. It's also a 5 min walk from the 2 biggest parks in Cambridge, Midsummer Common & Christs Pieces. There are not many places in Cambridge it can feel so tranquil and quiet so close to the city centre.
