Visiting town centre, with its many suks, was one of the highlights. Major sights like the Library are well known. Less so the newly renovated Greek and Roman Art Museum. Our guide didn't intend to take us there but we insisted and were very pleased that we did as it is one of the most important museums in Egypt.

It’s a great city for the soul.
It’s a great city for the soul. Once you enter the city and see the sea, you will feel so refreshing.
Everything is great there, whatever historical places or nature or atmosphere in the downtown in the night.

There is no place to take a pleasant walk in the city or spend time except the museum and library. It is a very ruined, chaotic, noisy, dirty city with terrible traffic, so walking or hanging around is not only unpleasant but also tiring. However, its library and Greco-Roman Museum are incredibly impressive. Other museums are very ordinary. Seafood dishes are very fresh, delicious, and reasonably priced. Therefore, I think 2 days are enough to visit this city; You can spend a lot of time in the library and the museum, take a coffee break in a cafe (the number of stylish ones is almost nonexistent), take a short city walk and see what looks like it and gain insight about the city and have a seafood dinner in the evening and continue on your way.

was a lovely hotel, staff all friendly, my only complaint is that everywhere you went you could smell cigarette smoke, people smoked in the lobby, and the corridors the rooms, even though my room was clearly labeled no smoking everything stunk of cigarette smoke including fresh bedding and towels. this for a smoker would be not noticed, but if like me and my daughters (all nonsmokers) it was enough to put a black cloud over the whole holiday .

I was pleasantly surprised by Alexandria.
I was pleasantly surprised by Alexandria. It is a big, bustling city, and parts of it are very dirty. However, there are so many interesting things to see, and it is pretty easy to get around, I used Uber. It’s a very interesting city, and I recommend giving it at least a few days.

The hotel has a Golden Age dmfell with grand rooms and lobby. Good customer service polity and friendly staff. The room service e was quick and food very good. The only thing about the hotel is the exterior it needs a good paint and refurbished of the master entrance and windows. These could attract more people if they would return the sidewalk sitting as before
The staff was consistently friendly and accommodating, making my stay truly enjoyable. And the pricing was incredibly reasonable for such a welcoming and secure environment. This hostel exudes friendliness, safety, and comfort, making it a delight to reside in. The staff's kindness knows no bounds, always ready to assist with a smile. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking, and the homemade Egyptian breakfast is a delightful treat. Cleanliness is clearly a priority, with regular maintenance ensuring a pristine environment.
It's comfortable to stay. I came here with my family and toddler. The bed is really comfortable to sleep. The room is spacious. The wifi and smart tv works well, we can play youtube for the kids to watch. Not used to egypt elevator coz at Malaysia, we just need to press button. But here need to use key. But the doorman patiently teach us how to use, despite communication barrier. The owner response really well even we dont have the chance to meet..
My wife and I stayed in the Steigenberger Cecil Hotel in Alexandria for 2 nights during a 17-day holiday in Egypt.
The hotel is located centrally on the Corniche overlooking the sea. There are also a large number of shops and restaurants nearby. It was an ideal base for the tour we took of the city.
All the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Our room were clean and comfortable.
The breakfast buffet and dinners were both good.
The location was great . Near the sea and promenade, walkable to major attractions like the library. Plenty shops and food places. The host , Yulan, was so great. The apartment is very nice and my room was lovely. I just had 2 days to chill out after touring around other parts of Egypt, this place went beyond my hopes and expectations. Thank you , Yulan , for all you did for me , and it was great to meet you and talk with you.
We loved this location. The view of the mosque and of the sea with lots of small boats was priceless. This is the nicest unit we have ever stayed in. The microbuses were quick, inexpensive, and friendly transportation. We had such a good time interacting with Egyptian people that we didn't do as must sightseeing as usual.
*best location when you're in Alexandria. just beside the Stanley beach
* very clean and comfortable bed
*very spacious room with sala area

*best buffet breakfast - sea view
*they all have the toiletries- esp slippers :)
-the best hotel i've had so far in egypt

Very good hotel, actually it's 4* resort, clean and big room, good quality breakfast, they gifted us Egyptian sweets and key chains, it's in beutiful location of Mediterranean sea, staffs are good very nice hospitality.. manager was very much help full.. any traveles and tourist can book this hotel.
Cleanliness is good, check in is easy, bed is comfortable and there are plenty of comfortable places to sit. There is also a very nice sea view of Alexandria.
It is still very overpriced considering the average salary of Egyptians. The location is central and quite decent.
Food - beach - stuff every thing is perfect. I would like to give my appreciation to Ms. Mayer Ali who help us so much and so kind. Thanks agian for all people work at this hotel. I really recommend it for all the people who like to spend their vacation at Alex.
Not fantastic, foul is cold and too much mashed , Falafel also cold and too stuffed. Not a typical Egyptian falafel
Staff at the lounge down stairs … poor service
Hotel is ordinary, not a 5 star maximum 4 star
Won’t stay there anymore
This was my second stay at San Giovanni and it was amazing. Starting from the hotel entrance everyone meets you with a smile. Everything is elegant.. the people and the place. I'm proud that we have this hotel in Alexandria Egypt.
i really enjoyed this hotel it was close to the shore. the people were really welcoming especially sameh and nagy and mohamed F. they were very helpful and attending. the room was nice and clean and the bed was comfortable!
