We did the hot air balloon ride and it was AWESOME!!
We did the hot air balloon ride and it was AWESOME!! We had already done the tour of the different temples and those are also very interesting. The felucca ride, if you haven't done one is really relaxing and quiet. I would skip the Banana Island "zoo" unless you really want to pet a baby alligator or hold monkey. We used In-Drive to get taxis - especially useful from the airport, as the taxi drivers at the airport want to overcharge you 5 times the amount. We went to the mumification museum, which was small but still interesting. You only need about 30 minutes there.

Loved the hot air balloon ride (only take the sunrise trip), the Karnak Temple and the Valley of the Kings (the Valley of the Queens is similar, less grand, and can be skipped if you have less time). I also took a day trip to Dendera and Abydos to see the temples. Was great to see some rural Egypt along the way and beautiful desert scenery. The Hathos Temple in Dendera was perhaps the best of temples I saw in Egypt and very much worth it!

There are lots of Gorgeous ancient Egypt temples in Luxor.
There are lots of Gorgeous ancient Egypt temples in Luxor. For visitors, A professional tour is necessary. At Neffertiti Hotel, We were lucky to got excellent tour guide Rabie guided us through Valley of King, Queen and Karnak Luxor Temple and driver Mohamed from Magic Carpet Travel agency . Rabie is informative, knowledgeable , flexible on task and friendly. He explained in good level detail about the historical and cultural. We made a wonderful day in Luxor.
The management is excellent, Ashaf is always willing to help and reply very fast. He help us to coordinate tours and Fellucas to cross to the other side.
The apartment has good space, wifi was the best we had in Egypt, the beds and pillows were comfortables and we had a big fridge.
In the corner there is a mini market and a pharmacy is just 100 mts away. Easy to cross to Luxor temple by Felluca and 15 min to Valley of the kings.
Breakfast was traditional egyptian, spreadable cheese, fried eggs, tomato, cucumber and dates.
The best location to visit Luxor, at walkable distance from the Go-bus station and the railway station but in a very, very quite and silent place. The temple of Luxor is less than 100 meters away. The bathroom is as large as a living room, rooms are spacious and everything is very very clean. Beds have double sheets, which is not frequent in Egypt. Big living room with a kitchen. Water in the kitchen is filtered. And Mahmoud is very kind. If I come back to Luxor I will choose this place again.
My stay here was excellent and I feel comfortable and safe at that house. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the showers were nice and warm. The breakfasts and meals were delicious. The location was very close to the Nile river. The staff is friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking for a great house to stay at in Luxor West Bank with a great value. Thank you Happy, for great hospitality. I will come stay here again if I come back to Egypt.
The hotel is super nice, rooms are spatious and very clean, Mr Ismail help us with everything we need all the time when we stay at the hotel! At hotel are 3 restaurants ( Chinese, Italian and Lotus with Egyptian food) We eat just at the Lotus Restaurant where is egyptian food. The food was very tasty and more! Hotel style is very nice! I love it and for me is one of my favourite Hotels in Egypt! Thank you! If we have the opportunity to come back, we will come back at this hotel! 🌻
I was so thankful that we ended up at this property. it is not a 5* hotel but it was exactly what I was looking for. Breakfast was amazing. Getting to eat on the rooftop while looking down at the Avenue of the Sphinx, Luxor Temple and the Nile truly made me feel like i had chosen the best place to stay in Luxor. I stay in standard hotels all the time, this hotel had the Egyptian charm I was hoping I would find.
We liked everything! Super location, lovely views, birds on in the island were really cool. I cannot stress enough how far ahead of local competition this place is. Best sleep on our trip which involved 5 hotels. Room was brilliant.
It’s not easy to achieve this quality in Egypt, which has had well documented problems relating to its tourism industry. We had a Superior Nile View and the room was excellent.
We had a lovely stay at Cleopatra Hotel, unfortunately only for one night. The staff was really welcoming and helpful. A big thanks also to Mahmut for the nice Egyptian Breakfast on the wonderful rooftop terrace with a view on the Temple of Hatschepsut.
Located at Westbank, it's a comparable calm location but a very good starting point for a visit to the valley of the kings etc.
Definitely to recommend!
Almost everything. A wonderful homestay experience in Luxor. Situated in the west bank area (almost 40 minutes from downtown). Rooms were very clean, breakfast and dinner was very nice (Egyptian style). House owner and wife were very nice and helpful. We got rooms in the first floor so my mother didn't have to climb too many stairs. View from rooftop is nice. Many banana fields are nearby.
We loved the staff at the Embrace! They are honestly the best thing about the hotel! They made staying at the hotel so welcoming. Mohammed makes the best strawberry shake and Egyptian tea.
The facilities (rooms and garden) are beautiful! and buffet breakfast is really enjoyable.
It was easy to book hot air balloon trip through the hotel at a good value and was a great trip!
Everything: friendly, efficient and well educated staff; beautiful hotel with a terrace where you can enjoy the wonderful view of Luxor Temple (you can eat your meals there, the restaurant is quite cheap and above all very good); perfect location near main attractions; clean and beautiful room, certainly above average egyptian standard). I would come back here
Hotel is one floor of the building. Small and cozy with large rooms. Very helpful staff. Wonderful view from rooftop terrace and lunch options at rooftop restaurant. Excellent air conditioning. Location: right off the public ferry dock. Near small stores, pharmacy etc.
It’s Egypt don’t expect an immaculate and all new building for this bargain price.
Everything: friendly, efficient and well educated staff; beautiful hotel with a restaurant terrace and rooftop where you can enjoy the wonderful view of Luxor Temple (you can eat your meals there, perfect location near main attractions; clean and beautiful room, certainly above average egyptian standard). The hotel was great and the staff were very kind and helpful. We felt at home, yet also as if we were in an exotic ancient paradise. You feel like you're really in Egypt here. The breakfast was delicious and the outside cafeteria area is heavenly. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Luxor and West Thebes.
This hotel is located literally in Egyptian countryside, we passed some farms and villages on the way here and we loved the feel of the countryside. Hotel itself was spacious with very friendly customer service and room was huge and very quiet, food was amazing as well. And don’t forget to say hi to Lady Kera the dog
By far the best hotel we stayed in our whole trip in Egypt! Very comfortable and clean rooms with a beautiful Nile view, great friendly service (a special mention goes to Ali the bellboy with a good perfume), huge quality breakfast... Really worth the price, if compared to the other options available in Luxor.
Price / accommodation is oke. It's very near the go bus station and train station. Also near the souk and Egyptian market. Luxor temple is 10 minutes walk.
Place is not very easy to find. Look for Everest hotel and you will find the place by Google maps. We reccomand ous hasim restaurants!
The Staff so helpful the day shift manger was excellent and the night shift was super great his name wad Bisho wow he picked me the best room and they were all great to reflect EGYPTIAN Hospitality. I love this hotel and I will always stay in it when I come back
It’s perfect for family traveling to Luxor.
The room had several beds and two televisions. The pool looked inviting and breakfast was nice. Good security and it has an atm machine for getting Egyptian Pounds.
We had a great experience in this hotel thanks to Mahmoud. He was so smiley and kind from the beginning and helped us to arrange tours and make plans and served delicious egyptian breakfasts. Thank you
Egyptian, central, clean, great staff and the views and food from top floor restaurant were very nice. One stop shop for us as also booked our Luxor and Cairo tours at the hotel and enjoyed them all.
