In Germany’s North Rhine-Westphalia region on a medieval trading route, Dortmund is a cultural, green metropolis made of waterways, forests, and spacious parks such as the picturesque Westfalenpark Dortmund.
Dortmund has an array of theaters, museums and shopping areas such as Museum of Art & Cultural History, Museum Ostwall, Opera Dortmund and Pedestrian Area Hagen. The magnificent Signal Iduna Park is home to the city’s famous soccer team, Borussia Dortmund.
The city has a lively nightlife and is famous for producing traditional beer and ale. Check out the Dortmund Brewery Museum along with the several cafés, bars, restaurants, clubs, or great shopping malls. The popular area Friedensplatz is surrounded by the beautiful Stadtgarten, and just a short walk from Theater Dortmund.
Evidence of Dortmund’s medieval and historical past is evident in churches such as Reinoldikirche and the Marienkirche, along with Castle Bodelschwingh and the charming Altes Stadthaus.
Booking.com has several hotels, hostels and guesthouses in and around Dortmund, Bochum and its popular Starlighthalle Bochum and Pedestrian Area Bochum.

One of the most beautiful cities I've seen, a lot bigger than I expected. Love the sights of Signal Iduna Park, U tower, Christmas market, the big mall galerie, the arhitecture, the streets and the buildings, people were pleasant and helped every time I needed some help. It's a pitty I didn't stay for more days to explore more of the city but the 2 days I've been there were trully magneficent.

We came for the Klassiker BVB v Bayern.
We came for the Klassiker BVB v Bayern. It was an amazing experience. We flew into Cologne (After 6 hour flight delay and got train to Dortmund. I can't believe that German train service renowned for punklichkeit is now worse than UK! UBahn was excellent.
On Sunday we enjoyed the medieval market and a very good breakfast before getting another late train back to Cologne.
I would have liked to have had more time to see more of Dortmund, but DB and Ryanair had other ideas.

We enjoyed Dortmund (except for the train station), but had difficulty getting there. We were going specifically for a soccer game, and had tickets in hand. My son is a big fan of BVB - Borussia Dortmund. We were going by train from Cologne to Dortmund, and thought we had plenty of time to get there. The game was starting at 15:30. Unfortunately, we were delayed by circumstances in Cologne, and just missed the train we had planned on. We still had time to get there by taking the next train out, but there were problems on the track, and they were unable to stop at Dortmund!! We got off at the next station, and had to scramble to get back to Dortmund. By then the game had already begun. We rushed to put our luggage in a locker at the train station, but they were all out of order!! Everywhere else we visited had great storage lockers. We noticed that they are planning to redo that station to modernize it, but the timing was bad for us. We had to drag our bags with us, so jumped into a taxi to get to the stadium at Signal Iduna Park. At the entrance, we sent my son inside, and his friend and I took his luggage. We were told there were some lockers over by the bicycle storage area, so went went over there. They said "Sorry they're closed." I sat and guarded the luggage while his friend went in to watch to rest of the game. It was disappointing, but at least he got to see the intermission and the second half. And, happily, they scored a goal in the second period and won the game!!

I don’t like dortmund.
I don’t like dortmund. I was on the other parts of the Germany like Karlsruhe and stuttgart and I like that part more. I believe the city is extremely dirty and nothing worthwhile to see. People are egressive. Be careful when you travel there.

I like visiting cities which are not your usual popular tourist destinations because they feel more local and are not overcrowded. Dortmund was better than I expected. Everything is close within the city center. The Westfallen park, halle and stadium are also great places. Had a really good time relaxing at the park. There is plenty of stuff to visit, the Ostwall museum, football museum, the stadium itself and even some places I didn't managed to visit during my stay.
I was in the city only for a few days and I hope another concert brings me back here just like the Iron Maiden concert did this time. PS Vegetarion food is easy to find, had some great dishes!
Visited Dortmund for the Christmas market and stayed in Coffee Fellows Hotel for one night.
They try to do everything digital, from check-in to check-out, which works but is slightly impersonal.
The room is good, everything was decent, neat and clean. The shower was even the best I had in a hotel for a long time.
The apartment was very clean, cozy, and warm. All utilities worked as expected.
People at reception were very nice and helpful. It is possible to come back to the hotel late at night without any issues that was crucial for my journey.
If I visit Dortmund again I will stay there for sure. Thank you!
Great location close to the main station in Dortmund, and that was also the main reason for choosing this hotel. My room was spacious and clean, and quiet. The interior of the hotel is quite interesting, although not everyone has to like it. Breakfast was pretty standard, nothing fancy, just enough.
Super friendly, highly professional and helpful front desk staff, of a much higher quality than average in Europe. They could easily be the front desk staff in 5 star hotels in Hong Kong. I was very impressed. I’ve worked in hotels in my past in Asia and Hong Kong so I know what I’m talking about.
A really excellent little hotel in a fantastic location, just a few minutes stroll from Dortmund's main train station. Small but comfortable rooms with everything you need for a short stay. Highly recommended!
It was all great a comfortable bed and a great tv that I could connect with my smart phone casting my videos there
The hotel is located very good just 10 mint walking to Dortmund hbf
The location was perfect. Middle of the center of Dortmund. But we're spend the most of our time at the lounge of the hotel. We were alone and have a great time overthere.
