24 hours is about right if you get there in the morning.
24 hours is about right if you get there in the morning. This way, you can see the Old Town in the morning, sunset and after dark. Most tourists left by late afternoon, so it was nice to walk around with less of a crowd.

City with a great atmosphere, and lots of things to see and do, including seeing historical buildings and architecture, visiting museums, going to religious sites, admiring nature, shopping for souvenirs, etc. Had no problem finding a good place to eat - I went to Food House Mostar and had coffee in Coffee Factory. Most of the spots in Mostar can be reached on foot. Plenty of fun activities: sightseeing, hiking, going to museums, eating out, and shopping.

Mostar Old Bridge and surrounding area are beautiful and offer numerous waterfront restaurants for relaxed dining. The only practical way around Old Town is by walking. The market offers the usual array of souvenir items and the vendors are not annoyingly aggressive. Great place for a brief 2-3 night visit.

Mostar, nestled in Bosnia and Herzegovina, is a captivating destination that seamlessly blends history and resilience. Its true beauty lies in its commitment to moving beyond the horrors of the recent past. Stari Most, a 16th-century bridge, is not just an architectural marvel but a symbol of unity, rebuilt after its wartime destruction.
The city's cobblestone streets resonate with a harmonious blend of cultures and traditions. The call to prayer and church bells coexist, showcasing Mostar's dedication to healing and reconciliation. Engage with the locals, savour traditional Bosnian cuisine, and be inspired by their unwavering hope for a brighter future.
Mostar isn't just a place; it's a profound journey through history, resilience, and the promise of a better tomorrow. This unique city is a must-visit for travellers who value the significance of its story and appreciate the human spirit's ability to move forward.

Mostar is interesting.
Mostar is interesting. The old town has it's quaint feel, and it is what it is. Step back a few streets away from the river to see what has yet to be repaired from the conflict, before you go to the conflict museum. There are many graveyards close by, and at least one of them should be visited.
It is worth a visit, but no more than two days.

Old part of the town is certainly most famous, but it can be a bit overcrowded. Apart from that it is really a wonderful town, with amazing hosts, good food and a lot of to see.
20 minute drive takes you to Fortica, above Mostar where you can see whole town, go to zip-line, take a walk, some other adrenaline sport or just have the most amazing lunch.
You can go swimming to some of the local beaches on Neretva, or take a drive and go to some of the nearby aqua parks, maybe in Blagaj or see some of the natural wonders, like Blagaj Bune or Kravice waterfall.
Very friendly family who will help in any way. The location is excellent and the room very clean and comfortable. We had the room with attached lounge room and balcony which was great. The old part of Mostar is really interesting and the Turkish/Bosnian style food in the local restaurants is really good. Parking is convenient and Fedja will assist if you need help driving through the pedestrianised small laneway to the hotel parking. This is one of the most pleasant accommodations that we stayed in during our travels to Europe.
Super friendly staff, nice and spacious room and bathroom, good air conditioning, nice to be able to use the hotel's pool. Nice mountain view from the room. They also provided a lot of extra services that we didn't use - for example help with booking day trips, ordering flowers to the room or massage in the SPA.
Good breakfast in the morning even for a vegan (did not specify that when I made the booking), they even had soy/almond/oat milk and fruit and some vegetables. Took around 20 minutes to walk to the old town.
I just fell in love with this room overlooking the river. Very colorful Bosnian house in the city center. I think this is the best location in Mostar. I liked my room so much that I didn’t even want to go out for a walk). It was very cozy, like from a fairy tale. Grape leaves grow on the windows. The house is perfectly clean, not a speck of dust. Everywhere smells of freshly washed bedding. Large beautiful kitchen with everything you need. Very responsive host, answered all my many questions)
the owner was very kind & generous with his time to help me better understand the area & history of Mostar/Bosnia
The place is central and in easy walking distance of the central city, stores and shops. Room was spacious & bad was very comfortable with some nice views of the city.
There was a delicious homemade dessert & drink provided for my stay also, which was a nice touch.
My vehicle wouldn’t fit into their garage so he allowed me to use his family’s private gated garage next door.
The hotel is strategically located in Mostar, only few steps away to the old bridge.
The suite was very spacious, clean and fresh. The beds were comfortable.
The bathroom was clean and had a water heater in the bathroom. The room came with an air conditioner. We liked that the smart tv can had Netflix.
The balcony was spacious good for two person.
The owner was very welcoming, hospitable and ensured that we had a comfortable stay at Shangri La Mansion.
The hotel is walking distance to the old town. Clean and comfortable, the family room is good size for 3 people, but small for 4, so Lajla, the extremely friendly lady at the reception, gave us another room for the kids at no charge (since there was availability!).It made all the difference in our stay, it was perfect and we loved it.
The hotel is perfect for enjoying beautiful Mostar, and the staff is super attentive and helpful.
We stayed one night in Mostar at the hotel, location is magnificent, and the staff is the most generous , friendly I have ever met Ivan is a super star and always responsive Aida is always welcoming you with a smile and very courteous, and Sami the manager is working around the clock to make sure the hotel is operating like a Swiss watch.. the food was the best I ever had, their chef is so talented!
This is definitely the best place in Mostar. Perfect for couples, 5 mins from the Latin bridge and the city center and you can park for free just few meters from the house. Clean, modern, quiet (no traffic noise at all) and you can sit on the enclosed patio next to the apartment. The host is extremely friendly and helpful.
The best location - with easy access by car from main road(host provides parking), but on the other side is walking area on the old city, just from hotel entrance. The view from our room was incredible, I like it the most. The room was clean and comfortable. Good place to spend a night in the Mostar Old Center
This student hotel is close to the Eastern bus station in Mostar, also the Mostar railway station (2 minutes walking away). This is a simple and clean accommodation. The old town is some 20 minutes walking away. The staff was friendly and service minded with good command of English. I could stay here again!
Stay in Bosnian Home was perfect. The owner is very friendly, helped us with everything and recommended an excellent restaurant. Room was very nice and clean with view on the river. Old city and old bridge is very close, only few minutes walk. If we visit Mostar again, we will definitely stay here
Great location in the old town close to bridges ,restaurants and markets .
All staff were exceptional. We were given welcome drinks and suitcase help. Dinner at the hotel restaurant traditionally cooked was very good. We had a great stay in Mostar, highly recommend.
Comfy bed & pillows
Great staff, very nice and very friendly.
Quiet and super clean.
A lovely fragrance once you walk in.
On my 9 day trip to Croatia, Montenegro and Bosnia Herzegovina, this was just the best stay.
5 minute walk to the Old city of Mostar.
First of all price is very good for what u get (new hotel in center of mostar). Staff is very kind and professional. Room is well equiped and the bed is amazing, like you would sleep on a cloud, with 2 different size pillows. Breakfast is great.
I love Nina and her family!! They are the sweetest family and really welcomed me to Mostar. My whole experience was wholesome and incredible. I can’t wait for my next trip to Bosnia, I will be staying here again!
The hotel was conveniently located next to west Mostar bus station and walkable to old town (about 25 minute walk). The room was very clean and comfortable, and the staff were very nice and helpful.
