Sarajevo could be described as a captivating oasis of European cities, where East meets West in an integration of diverse cultures and a fascinating history mixed with a fresh cosmopolitan and charismatic vibe.
A museum in itself, Sarajevo is a sightseeing and history lover’s haven from the numerous mosques, churches and synagogues, to historic landmarks such as Sarajevo War Tunnel and Latin Bridge. Afterwrads, you could wander through the Old Town, which is a world on its own.
Sarajevo’s cultural diversity means a large selection of local delicacies. Be sure to visit Sarajevo’s historic and cultural hub Baščaršija bazaar, an ancient trading place with cafés, restaurants, cosy bars, art, and loads of accommodation options.

The city was a very compact and sweet city. I recommend it to taste the delicious pastries and meatballs of Bosnian cuisine. The fact that the city has two different architectures and structures, east and west, added a different atmosphere.

The people of the city are very friendly and helpful.
The people of the city are very friendly and helpful. You can visit Bascarsija and its surroundings on foot. If you want to come by car, you may experience parking problems. The city center can be a little crowded on the weekend.

Sarajevo is an active attractive city
BUT:
Sarajevo is an active attractive city
BUT:
Too many places only accept cash. payment accepted by credit card is the exception. A population that does avoid tax this way is not a free democratic population.
Do NOT visit the Historian Museum, the building is falling apart, cold and dirty. The only history covered is 1992-1995 which is of course important but not the only history. Very disappointed this attitude of being stuck in the narrow past and being unable and unwilling to take a broader look.

Wow - what an interesting city.
Wow - what an interesting city. We joined a free walking tour recommended by our hotel, which we’d highly recommend: it gave us context to the information we read at the various museums. It is possible to eat pizza etc but we ate only Bosnian food…which was delicious. The Muslim run restaurant s obviously don’t serve alcohol but it’s very easy to have a drink before or after eating. We always felt safe and found the Bosnian people to be welcoming. We loved that a short taxi ride/cable car ride took us in to the ‘countryside’ where we hiked around the Trebevic mountain area and walked down to the city - amazing views….and all at such reasonable prices! One thing to note is that smoking is part of the Bosnian culture, including in many bars and restaurants, so if you’re not a fan take a little time choosing your eatery. A brilliant place to visit with so much more to offer than the war history. We definitely recommend!

It’s hard to describe, but there is something magical about this city & its people. It is very walkable & good for exploring on your own, but I would recommend a tour. Also, be mindful that the obvious nightlife wraps up around 1 or 2 am, but I have been told there is a late night scene. Also, make reservations for restaurants, especially on the weekends even if it is just lunch. Enjoy!

Beautiful city with delicious and affordable food!
Beautiful city with delicious and affordable food! Lot of historic sights and cafes and bars options for young people. Proximity of beautiful mountains and nature is what makes this city unique. With short 10 min taxi ride from the city center you can reach mountain Trebevic or you take a nice short ride with cable-car (preferebly). People are warm and welcoming and very casual. In summer city vibes are even more exciting as there are lot of events and tourists visiting famous Sarajevo Film Festival each year in August.
I had a wonderful experience at this hotel. It’s situated in a quiet location, away from the main streets, which I appreciated. From the moment I arrived, the hospitality was exceptional, and the staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. Although I only stayed for three nights, I would have gladly extended my stay. The beds were incredibly comfortable.
Also, a special thanks to the male worker for recommending the Bosnian language course. I’ve already signed up, and the course starts next week! :)
Considering that we were one of the cheated guests in Sarajevo this year (the first accommodation we booked didn't exist), We were happy that we got a hotel in the center that was available.
The hotel itself in the heart of the city. The immediate vicinity of "Baščaršija" where everything happens. The receptionists are very friendly. The cleaners are nice. They cleaned our room every day. Upon arrival, we received a bag of coffee and a magnet of the city of Sarajevo. Very nice of them :)
The hotel is near Sarajevo City Center, very safe to walk in and out anytime of the day. The view is very nice from the room. We’ve had one of the best breakfast and the lady chef cooks the perfect eggs each and every time. Harun from Cafe Swiss was very nice and polite. Also when we checked out, Bakir assisted us and was very nice and accommodating. They clean our room everyday and we had the best stay in Sarajevo. We will surely stay on this hotel next time we come back to Bosnia.
Everything was great. The location is perfect, right in the heart of historical centre. Breakfast was super delicious. Very clean and comfortable rooms. And what is more important, staff at the hotel are just amazing and very helpful! Not only they checked me in 7 hours before standard check-in time without surcharge, but they also offered me a complimentary coffee while I was waiting for the key. Bosnians are truly amazing people with big hearts! Perfect place, perfect stay!
Hotel is located at great location, only 2 minutes to Bascarsija. Rooms are clean and have everything you need. People working there were so kind and they even let us change the room for the better one. Breakfast has limited options as it is based on eggs (not buffet) and has few other things like bosnian version of nutella, honey and cream, but it is still ok to have good breakfast.
Location amazing, staff kindly. Special great thanks to old man in reception(sorry forgot the name). I had more than 100 hotels in 25-30 countries but never meet like this staff, he is very kindly. Dear admin, please tell our greetings to him, we can’t meet with him when we check-out, and absolutely I’ll book this property when I will come back to Sarajevo. Thanks a lot!
Everything was perfect. Location is very good, close to shopping mall and about 10 min walk to Baščaršija. The bed was very comfortable. The staff is very kind. The breakfast was fabulous. In the room there are all necessary facilities. A big advantage is free parking. Also, design of hotel is very interesting. For sure next time I will book this hotel again.
There were private breakfasts with a private chef, just for me. A strong Bosnian breakfast for a long day. Breakfast is served in the basement, in the restaurant, but I had it more than once in the cafe, well served, chatting with people.
Very private parking free parking I like a lot.
Hotel position is minutes walk from Iliđa center.
We booked the Deluxe double with balcony....it was a HUGE balcony - more like a terrace! We loved looking over the rooftops and people watching from the balcony-fantastic view of the hills and domes of Sarajevo at night - just gorgeous. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious, parking was super convenient under the hotel.
The location was superb, next to the Grand Mosque. The hotel is within walking distance of places of interests and dozens of restuarants. Enjoyed the food.
The front desk staff were extremely cordial and supportive.
Enjoyed the breakfast served in a typical Bosnian way.
We booked this location last minute since our trip canceled, so we were not expecting much. The room was clean. We made a super late check-in around 11PM, we were able to get in touch with reception guy and get instruction on how to get keys and get inside.
Hotel is amazing and staff even better. They went beyond and read my mind based on booking, and saw number of people, then added extra bed sheets that I did not plan but did need. Truly awesome experience and great hotel. I loved the car garage too.
The host was helpful, communicative. He greeted us, showed were to park a car. Host also gave some recommendations about city visiting. The apartments' ameneties fulfilled our needs (we got everything, that was stated in booking website).
Staff is very kind. Room is very good, clean, spacious.
Bathroom is huge. Breakfast is amazing! Right at the city center. 2 minutes walk to the main street of Sarajevo.
Definitely book it! Best in Sarajevo
An historic hotel. From the 1984 olympics to the tragic war in Bosnia during the 90s. Reporters and journalists used to stay at the hotel during the war. The room was also comfortable.
