The lovely host Nikki was so welcoming and made us feel right at home. Our ferry got in at 9pm and she was happy to wait for us even though it was late in the evening. Her home is lovely and clean and our room was so comfortable. We were able to keep our bicycles safely secured in the rear garden.

The Ram Inn is a unique experience. Tucked away in a peaceful village in Sussex, it transports you into a serene and creative space surrounded by minimal but eclectic furnishings, a big desk to write at and a deep bath to restore oneself. Downstairs it the perfect picture-book English pub serving delicious local produce from the gin through to the venison. I even managed to walk someone else’s dog up through the church yard. The staff were kind and helpful.
