This former barn on La Gomera Island has been converted into fully-equipped, bright and spacious country cottages. The hosts were simply amazing. I got the cottage as a present for my mother's birthday and the hosts were so incredibly generous as to decorate the whole place with balloons and flowers, get a birthday cake and a bottle of wine! That are the most caring people I could ever imagine... Melted my heart! And my mum loved her stay and the incredible peacefulness of the place.

Set in Hermigua in the Canary Islands region, Casa Rural Antigua Escuela II features a terrace and garden views. This holiday home is 21 km from Parque Nacional de Garajonay. The property was immaculate and had everything we needed. The location was perfect for us to use a base for a week to access the amazing hiking on the island. There is also parking just down the hill a bit from the property. It was great to have a smart TV and be able to watch Netflix some evenings! Also, I left my wash bag in the property and realised when we arrived on Tenerife but I contacted the host and they arranged to have the bag delivered to me at the port which was really good of them.

Located 10mn from San Sebastian and 30mn from many trail makes it a great place for spectacular hikes. Setting is gorgeous and quite, huge space in kitchen/living room, big air conditionned rooms, all with own bathroom. Very nice pool.

Located in Hermigua in the Canary Islands region, Casa Rural El Mantillo features a garden. This property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi. We had the chance of a good weather during our four days here in February and that was a perfect stay. The house is absolutely wide and clean, the two bathrooms allow a quick preparation on mornings. Although the sun is often hidden behind mountains, the terrace is not cold and we could take all our breakfasts outside. There is a nice (but quite steep) walk to El Cedro whose departure is quite close to the house (the use of car was not necessary for this walk). The beach of Hermigua is beautiful. The waves are high but we managed to bath. For eating, we do recommend the Bar Terraza Pedro in Hermigua whose "Ratatouille" was excellent. Others restaurants offer more canarian specialities but we were not really convinced.
