This property was exceptional! Brand new, modern and in a prime location on the Main Street accompanied with delicious food and drinks at the restaurant, home made and fresh, you should checkout the kitchen in the back, Grandma stirring the pot on the daily. Breakfast included and brought to the room if requested, flexible check-in and checkout. Great recommendations for your local stay and their private beach, Parthenis is a must visit, I went to it everyday, the most beautiful sunsets. Loved the fact that this is a family owned business and felt taken care of the whole time from Costas to Sophia to Alex to Mike and everyone in between, a true pleasure meeting everyone and I know I will be back again and only recommend to others, they made Malia a recurring destination and happy place, thank you for a wonderful stay and I can’t wait to see you again and soon xo

We went off season which for us was perfect, I think in full season it would be rather "touristy", so if that's your bag then its a great location. Went to a number of restaurants and can say they were all excellent.

I went just as the off season begun and this was a perfect time for me. The Theo Star Beach Hotel is a great place to stay, close to everything though far enough away for a quiet relaxing stay.
The old town of Malia is a must and the food in restaurants like Milos, Avli and Zorbas is not only great value but some of the best food I had whilst island hopping from Crete to Rhodes to Kos.

We liked Malia a lot because you had so much things to do there. There was a lot of happening for younger people and for old people as well. Everyone was super nice and the prices in the restaurants were amazing. The only thing is that if you are there in July/August it could be a little to loud.

Its quite party place, but had a hotel a bit outside the city, so was very good! I would not recommend to plan Malia city as family holidays, but in our case (as we were staying a bit outside - Olympus Studious) that was great with small kid as well.
Very good food and amazing beach, clean and safe sea.

Malia is the perfect trip for anyone. You can get anything you want, from going out at the clubs to a peaceful relaxing vacation with your family. Next to this you can rent transportation on every corner on the street, have various dining possibilities (Mexican streetfood, Italian, Greek...). You can also visit other places in Crete using the very cheap public transportation system.

The town of Malia is not so big and the hotel is in perfect location, 5-10 minutes walk from the old city and all the night life scene and far enough from the noises.
Rooms are very clean and comfortable.
The hotel is located just next to the beach, which is very convenient, however this is the only good thing.
The hotel is total disappointment and also the town Malia is really noisy and full of cheap tourist attractions and nightc clubs, not worth to visit unless you are a teenager willing to spend you holidays on party.
The hotel staff were nice, breakfasts were great. Hotel is clean and safe with private place for parking car. This place is relatively close to supermarket and old Malia with cute restaurants. When you are travelling by car, this place is close to Knossos and Heraklion on one side and small sandy beaches on the other side.
The location was perfect, the hotel staff very friendly and the pool area with bar very nice. I travelled with kids (9&11)in the 2nd week of June, so the high season had not started yet and it was perfect time I think. It was easy to walk everywhere - Mália old town only 500m from hotel! So lovely place.
The staff were amazing, Sophia, Helena and Marta really have that star to make us special, always checking if all was good and making us really welcome.
The installations are really nice and perfect, couldn't have chosen a better place to stay for the first time in Crete, totally recommend.
Great hotel located in Malia, easy access to the beach and many restaurants within walking distance. The room was clean, very comfortable, spacious and well decorated. The staff was very friendly and always willing to help, we had towels for the beach and sun umbrellas.

Felt more like home
Mila malia hotel is an authentic hotel 100 metres from the sea. Hotel owner Fedon was very interested in us. We had a very nice breakfast with fresh tomatoes, vegetables and eggs from his own farm. Internet is very good. Be sure to try a cocktail in the hotel bar.
The hotel location was nice, close to the beach and to the centre of Malia(5 minutes walking). The beach was cleaned every day and the view from the balcony was nice. The bartender woman was really kind and friendly. The restaurant was ok.
This is the shittest hotel I've ever been don't recommend coming here stay away cleans your room every 4 days and air condition is on you 7 euros per day what a scam the room is not clean you won't feel comfortable at all I'VE WARNED YOU!
Location is strategic between new and old Malia, with many convenient store close by. Considering the hotel is on the strip, we were surprised to find that the rooms were acoustically insulated to a very comfortable degree.
The family hosts are great and very kind! They realy let us feel like ‘coming home’. The swimming area is beautiful and the mountain view is so amazing! We come back on our next trip to crete, for sure!
Wonderful room with kitchen and rain shower, Nice swimming pool, next to the beach of Malia. Great location if you rent a car. For example, you can go to Agios Nikolaos for a day. We enjoyed it a lot.
The location is a very touristic place, there are only hotels and tavernas. Nearby there is very windy sandy beach, there is "Pleasure" beach also, where you can have a cocktail and a sunbed.
The room is probably the best possible room you can stay at whilst being in malia centre. Having worked in the resort for a number of years I haven’t seen a room like it.
Frixos is a wonderful hotel . The owners are very hospitable and friendly . I throughly enjoyed my stay and shall be returning to Frixos again when I am in Crete
