Easy to walk around, plenty of shops for tourists and a range of supermarkets. Big ones on the main road into Rhodes Town.

In general a very pleasant town with extremely nice and helpful locals. Great restaurants (Bikini was our favorit), nice beaches and well located to travel to other places.
Only down side was public transportation. Use that only to go to Rhodes town and when you are not in a hurry. For travelling to different places during the day, rent a car (we used Superior)

Ialyssos is one of the three ancient locations in the island of Rodos that were inhabited in the prehistoric time, some 3500 years ago. At some point it had 30 houses, which gave Ialyssos its ancient original name Trianda. Ialyssos has some of the best hotels in Rodos for families with children that are looking for the beach and swimming pool experience but still want to be within reach of the city and its historical surroundings.
There's enough shops and restaurants in Ialyssos to find what you need, but typically you would visit the Rodos city center at least once to see the famous medieval old town - the only surviving medieval city center in the world with original medieval buildings still in use - and find more services. It's quite easy to reach the Rodos city center via public transport. The city center is too far to walk to but you can ride a bicycle to the city in about 30 minutes.

Lalysos is a short distance from the airport and also a short distance from the city. It can be said that there is also most of what you need to stay there. However, you can clearly see the decline of local services. Shops and restaurants have been closed. Many houses are half finished.

Very central to all amenities, beach is a short walk, bus stop just outside hotel to get into Rhodes town, lots of cafes and restaurants, a very short walk is the Choronis Restaurant at Perla Marina hotel is excellent the food is done to perfection one of the best restaurants on the island, Easy walking distance is Lalyssos village with all the shops, cafe's and bars, as you walk towards Lalyssos is the Alpha bank with ATM which gives you the best rates other ATMs dont give a good rate, there are Alpha banks in Rhodes town as well. Rhodes town is next to the marina where you can get day trips to other islands and to Marmaris Turkey,
The rooms are a good size, basic but clean.The beds are comfortable. We stayed in a superior room.
The hotel itself is very well kept and modern. The food was good overall. The hotel is on the sea front and has access to it's own stretch of beach. The pool area and grounds were well kept and clean. The hotel provided a shuttle service into Rhodes town. There was entertainment of some form happening most evenings. The staff are friendly and approachable and very happy to help.
From entering the hotel to leaving it, the friendly and personal helpfulness is always there! The swimming pools are just great, the drizzling sound of water streaming, the seperate kids pool, the tranquility, the service, the open bar, breakfast in the sun (or shade if you prefer). sunbeds at the edge of the pool or just hidden in the garden. IOt s just wonderful and looking forward to getting back! The beach is nearby but, unlike me, I really wasn't tempted to go there.
We could not have picked a better place for our 2 weeks vacation. Everything was better than we had expected. Staff members were as helpful and kind as any people could be, the hotel has a stunning outside area with a swimming pool that we could visit anytime, and all in all the whole place is really quiet and family friendly. Food is the BEST!
I recommend it for everyone! Hotel Lisa has more value than most 3 and 4 star hotels.
great two story apartment lots of room, fantastic hot showers. super clean throughout, with aircon in main living area and bedrooms, well equipped kitchen even a washing machine. Located in a residential area 3 minutes from bus stops to Rhodes town and airport, beaches 15 minutes walk away, 10 minutes to shops and restaurants. we were greeted by a lovely lady who gave us good information about the area and places to eat
The villa was perfect located for those would like to be close to the Rhodes capital, very close to the airoport, have a walkable distance to the sea and be surrounded by many restaurants, cafe, and minimarkets. Very beautiful, clean and well planed villa, very sunny terrace with clean pool. Communication with host easy, without any problem! Thanks a-lot for arranging for us late check out!
Very nice hotel in a great location on Rhodes. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with anything. Breakfast is nice and dinner buffet for 15 euro per person is an excellent choice if you don’t want to venture out to one of many tavernas around town. We had a leaky toilet tank in our room when we arrived and were immediately offered another room.
Situated in a quiet area but only a few minutes away from excellent restaurants and amenities and the bus stop to Rhodes, and a short walk to the beach. Family run and made to feel very welcome and nothing too much trouble. Lovely pool amd small garden area with plenty of sun beds. Cleanliness throughout is impeccable. Outstanding value for money.
A great villa, very spacious and clean! Walking distance to the town and a very short drive to Rhodes Town. A great space for my whole family and very safe for my 1 year old niece. The hosts were great, very helpful, met us at the villa when we arrived to show us around and on hand to answer any questions while we were there.

Superbly situated for the beach and shops are a 2.minute walk , Rhodes Town a 2 hour walk or a bus journey 15 minutes 3€ , the hotel I stayed in should have had a microwave and 2 stove hob , but mine didn't, nor sure if it was because of my upgrade from room with terrace to room with balcony
Everything perfect. 10 minutes from airport. Brand new building with great space for a family. Super modern and clean. Comfortable beds with modern appliances. Beautiful private pool. Walk to uncrowded beach or easily drive to old town Rhodes. Walk to dinner. Would definitely stay here again.

location is seafront , quite , near kitesurfing spot, it is very comfortable in rhodes to stay in all inclusive hotel . it has beautiful blue flag beach. it has scheculed bus transfer to old town everyday but it is extra. it has spa but over rated. Asian a la carte restaurant is great.
The reception staff were fantastic, we booked as we had been evacuated from our chosen hotel, the Grannadi Grand Hotel due to the fires. We struggled with the food at the Blue Horizon although the children said it reminded them of school dinners. Sorry but we didn’t like your hotel
Proximity to airport after a long flight . 2 min walk to beach . Restaurants and shops on doorstep . 7k to Rhodes town . Staff very nice and excellent English . Property spotless and cleaned with fresh towels DAILY ! Restaurant very good quality and value and ate here a lot .
Family run hotel with pool area to sit outside and enjoy the nice weather. We stayed for a week and ate quite a few meals here. We tried several local dishes and all were delicious. The owners provided a truly greek experience with some great conversations.
