We loved the cozy little cabin. Do yourself a favor and book the glacier view. The view is stunning. What I really want to write about was the manager Katerina. We got snowed in as the road through the mountain pass had closed. Katerina gave us a discount on an extra night as we quite literally couldn't leave Kazbegi. She called a driver for us so we could get to a store for food and to take us to a restaurant. When we lost our booking for a driver back to Tbilisi because of the road closure, she arranged for her husband to drive us to Tbilisi for less than we would've paid on Gotrip. The road didn't open until 5 pm our last night and she allowed us to hang in the room and didn't charge us for the extra time. To top it off, she messaged me after we returned to Tbilisi just to make sure everything was OK. What a kind human. ♥ If we return to Kazbegi I would love to stay at Kazbegi View again.

Generally, tourist travelling to Stepantsminda do a day trip from Tbilisi and are not able explore the location much due to tour plans. But this location is definitely worth exploring more. The must visit places in this area are Gergeti Trinity Church, then on the way from the church there is Kazbegi Zipline which is 1.2kms long zipline and it cost 120 Lari. Then there is Viewpoint Terek valley 10-15min drive, after that there is Gveleti Big Waterfall which needs trekking. The Dariali Monastery Complex is must visit which is near to Russia-Georgia border. Then Ioane Natlismcemeli is another Monastery which is in Stepantsminda which can be accessed from the main market area towards the mountain. The most calmest and peaceful location of Stepantsminda.

Great place for hiking up mountains, wonderful nature to see. Gergeti monastery was an easy climb of about an hour. The village was small, dusty and quiet, not so much to do in November and not so many tourists. Simple and beautiful place with fresh air and silence.

We went to Kazbegi to see the Gergeti Trinity Church and Mount Kazbek, and were extremely fortunate with the weather - in November.
During our visit to Gergeti Trinity Church, the sun was shining at 15 Celsius in the air and just wispy clouds were in the sky. The next day snow fell on the slopes, and the temperature hit freezing point.
The drive ut from Tbilisi is something to be mindful of if you are easily stressed or inexperienced. We drove ourselves, and I am an experienced driver who has been driving all around the world.
You should set aside 3+ hours for the drive - and be prepared for a large number of semi-trailers heading in both directions. Be prepared to pass them when the situation allows. And be prepared for them to pass each other when the situation doesn't.
When you arrive in Stepantsminda, the town in Kazbegi where we stayed, you are at the mercy of the weather when it comes to what you can see and do. If the mist shows up, the view is gone.
On the road down, use the engine brake on your car - or else you might fry the regular brakes.

The scenery is breathtaking.
The scenery is breathtaking. The visitor centre on the main street is useful and friendly. You can drive up to the Church , iconic photographic opportunity.
We visited in September, not very touristy at this time.
Its a relatively small place with a couple of shops.
The drive up and backon the Georgian Military highway is not an easy journey, lots of lorries , you quickly learn to overtake them on bends.

It is a good get away if you are looking for hiking, good views and refreshing greenery. We enjoyed our stay as we were looking for exactly this. The weather at the end of aug/ starting September is a good time to visit.
Our experience at the hotel was wonderful, we had rooms with amazing view of mount kazbek. The food at their restaurant is delicious and worth trying. The rooms were clean but some suppliers were missing in the room, however once we asked them, they immediately brings us what we need. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel also has an out yard that you can sit and enjoy the atmosphere of kazbegi. And lastly you would have the experience of watching the sunset, such a cinematic scene.
It will be the best place you can find to stay in Kazbegi. This small hotel, still under construction, offers comfortable accommodation with TV, heating, amenities, washing machine and a very large and well-equipped kitchen for meals or cooking. But the best thing is the service, the owners, even without speaking English, did everything possible to make our experience better, they even helped us get a car with a driver to take the tour in Juta at a fair cost. We truly recommend this hotel!
The hotel is near the center on the hill. You can reach everything easily by foot. Nearby are many supermarkets in the center and cafe's. The room itself was clean and the thing that surprised me the most was that amazing view from the room and a balcony. Since the hotel is on the hill you get to see panoramic view of whole town and Gergeti Church , truly magnificent. The host is very helpful and let us leave out bags in the hotel after our check out while we explored Kazbegi a bit more.
We stayed at North Kazbegi for 3 nights and it was great.
Location is great, lots of markets and restaurants nearby.
House is not big, but very comfortable and furnished with taste. Beds were nice and comfortable.
There is a kitchen on the first floor, views from apartment are also magnificent (same as from the best hotel on top of the hill 🙂).
The host was very friendly and helpfull, also the breakfast is a bit too big and tasty ).
It was my first time in Kazbegi and without these amazing girls I don’t know how it would be. LIKA the best person ever who made amazing breakfast with Georgian meals. NANA was a wonderful manager who did her best, smiling every time and give you helping hand. The room is super clean, prices are amazing for everyone, location unbelievable with mountain Kazbegi. All in all you have to visit this place Oishe is the best❤️❤️❤️

While taking us personally to the Kazbegi church he understood that we were hungry ,so he drove by a local taverna and waited there an entire hour for us to enjoy the food.

Hotel is clean, beautiful view to mountains, yummy breakfast with many choices. Unfortunately they don’t serve lunch and dinner so we had go to shops or restaurants. But it wasn’t a problem. Family run the hotel and they are so kind and helpful with everything you needed. Oh I miss Kazbegi already.. They are lucky to live there ❤️

Lovely boutique-like hotel with a wonderful, friendly staff and absolutely stunning views. I went with friends, but I could imagine it being a fantastic place to spend time with a spouse or significant other. A small hotel, so don't expect a big lobby or too many amenities, but for a weekend in Kazbegi, I couldn't have imagined a better place to spend it.
Hotel Axien was recommended to me by my friend and it has good value. also ,it has the best location and good prices. It is very close to the center, there are markets, pharmacies and banks around. I liked it very much, I also recommend it to other friends because it is a very good place to spend time in Kazbegi.

Although we booked last minute on booking.com, the host was very welcoming and we had a great night.
Also, if you have time to take the breakfast, they serve homemade cheese and a very nice Georgian breakfast.
One of the best hotels we stayed in Georgia. It's a pity we couldn't say longer. We occupied the two rooms in the upper floor and it was like having our own apartment with kitchenette. The terrace was fantastic, the beds comfortable, the pace was clean and the host very nice. I really recommend it.
A lovely family run hotel with fabulous views of mount Kazbegi. Each room has its own veranda and there is a shared rooftop teras with uninterrupted 360 degree mountain panorama. The breakfast was the best we had in Georgia so far.
